Dundalk weren't miles and miles ahead of Waterford last year. I think you're overestimating the challenge Shels and/or Bray will offer.

Overestimating you mean? Waterford were probably a better side last year than they are this year. I just think that playing at a higher level every week will tell over two legs. In a one off it might be different. Obviously if we get there I hope I'm proven to be talking nonsense!
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.
I think you're right on all those counts. Waterford United were a better side last year - or at least we had more threat from Seani Maguire and Gary Dempsey. We've probably got a better squad this year, but without the talent of those two.
PD team will beat whoever they play. And they would beat Athlone too. So fair play to Athlone for going up automatically.
I probably shouldn't be but I am shocked by Waterford's result tonight. Anyways, congrats to Longford and Mervue on making the play-offs.

A Championship: 4 years - 8 first teams - 0 financially ruined. First Division '14: 7 first teams.
Opportunity lost for new clubs/regions to join the LoI family.
Should be a good playoff, I think Mervue are a good footballing side, I know others on here think they are muck, but I just can't see that,
Longford are still not brilliant but are getting better at the right time
Hugely entertaining game in Cobh tonight, three fine goals. Fair play to the blues fans who kept the vocal support up the entire game. Felt sorry for you at the end but we wanted the three points too.
Waterford don't deserve to be in the play-offs based on that performance.
I counted twice the goalkeeper played it out to his fullback. From early on the only ball was a long ball up to a front 2 that were totally outmatched in the air. Brian Fitzgerald mopped up every ball all night and was delighted to see the way Waterford approached the game.
Davin O'Neill is the best player in the division when he's in the mood he was in tonight.
Yeah man, they call gambling a disease, but it's the only disease where you can win a bunch of money.
I hope Tony Cousins sees your post about what happens to long balls up to the Mervue backs
Just as an aside, whilst it had no impact on the result, the pitch at St Colmans is in a dreadful state.
A new low for Waterford United. Hard to believe how bad we've become.
