Have to agree great coverage, but we seem to get less space than an awful lot of other sports or should that be a lot of awful other sports !
Ya credit where its due, both papers gave great coverage of the build up to the game and the game itself. In fairness though it was a munster champions final and we should expect this. It would be great if we promoted our game and all the leagues a bit more in the local papers to try get more youth involved in the game

Lads just wondering has it ever been the case that a side has not played at least 1 league game by christmas in Clare before. Avenue will possibly play their first league game on January 5th 2014. The following week is Fai, Fai again the following week again if we advance. Munster junior against newmarket the following week which is then followed by oscar traynor. All this before the clare cup has even started so it looks like we will have 1 or 2 league games played by february...we better cancel the summer so lol.
Ps. Happy xmas to all
Sounds like a joke. Was it the same last year
ive being saying it for a long time now, scrap league cup and play 3/4 league games instead, then the pressure is off fixtures congestion. Happened bridge last year when they got to open rounds of both fai and Munster, happening Avenue this season. It's unfair on teams with ambition
ye will be under fair pressure then when ye start the league campaign in february pobably 15 points behind most teams, cancel the shield waste of time
Now with new lights play divisional or clare cup games in doora midweek like they do in limk
This was not a complain about the clare league committee, i know some of em very well and they are good genuine soccer guys. I do agree the league cup should be scrapped at the start of season and played similar to what happens in limerick every thursday night under the lights. We have had a great season so far and are very happy with it. The weather the past 2 weeks has been awful so games were always gonna be called off there. Surely they will look at the situation in the off season to try prevent this feom happening again, it happened bridge last year and happened us 3 years ago again when we had a decent run in fai and munster and were 7 games behind in an 18 game league season at one stage so this isnt a once off.
Will games go ahead the weekend? Promised very bad again,as of now is there any pitches playable?
Can you name a pitch that would be playable or would hold a game without ruining pitch. All limk games off all desmond games off.. the right call was made there is storm on the way again sunday..
Newmarkets pitch is excellent .. but I doubt with the storm forecast that it would hold up to the elements excpected. And in any case the commitee would surely not let it go ahead
I see a few games are on
