The 3.30 kick-off time isn't the issue here. Fixtures were posted up early last Sunday and nobody questioned the 3.30 time all week!! The issue here is the referee making up his own rules and FAI Cup rules not being adhered to

I agree mikebassett but why didnt managers disagree yesterday, it wasnt safe for the players. Poor call in my opinion and i havr great time for the newmarket manager. Maybe he wasnt thinking straight and just wanted to win his first local derby. I did think the 3.30 kick off was crazy when i seen it first but didnt question it here. Anyway it ll be investigated and dealt with by the FAI so lets move on. Big win for ourselves yesterday, a real tight game with a very good determined bridge side. 3-2 aet it finished. We got a late late equaliser to get it to 2-2 and a late late winner at the death. Both scored by eamonn o reilly

Hasn't been much activity on here lately, and now that there is, it's all about slating clare league, managers and refs, that all be sorted sooner or later,
What we should be talking about is the positive and future of league, and as mastermind hit on there, a cracking game credit to clare league went on in roslavan, avenue V bridge, hard tiring game with not a bad tackle in site, some of the best players in league on show
    How's the leg btw?

I agree a cracking game in Roslevan.. Where do people reckon Bridge will finish up? Quite impressed with them, very young side aswell. Avenue showed great heart to come back

Regarding slating leagues, managers, Referees etc: we have every right to demand that our league is run to highest possible standard, as fairly as humanly possible, with a high degree of common sense and within the rules of the FAI. It's not acceptable at the present time the way it's been run.. Were papering over the cracks

I reckon Bridge will be up near the top. Top 3 probl. Rock are a young side with old heads organising them. V similiar to Bridge. They might surprise a few too.

How are Lifford looking? Heard they've lost a lot of players from last season?

The referee. He's bein paid to do his job, least you'd expect is him to go by the rulebook, use a bit of common sense and take player safety into account. He shouldn't have even considered extra-time in the darkness never mind playing just 1/4 of the regulation extra-time. 15 minutes is a huge amount of time not to play. Rules are rules. Tis in the book, tis black and white... But rules went out the window with him yesterday.

I agree with you to a point. My point is that the league put this referee in a situation that he should never have been put in to..

regarding referees making up there own rule happens every week.

Lifford have lost a few I think. Norrby to Avenue. Hamed gone to Holland. Think they have Lunga back now. Darren o'neill be back from football id say now that Eire og out. Lifford have become a team of unknowns last few season with the influence of foreign players. I saw in the paper 2 weeks back Nani was playing with them :-)

I ve been very impressed with the bridge for a good while now.....they have some of the best young talent around. A very good manager and good coaches around the club, alot of the good work thats been done underage in the bridge is now showing with performances like yesterda and with the big number of players in the county squad. The game yesterday was a cracker and could have gone either way, was a shame 1 of these teams had to lose on the day. I would reckon they will have a big say in the league race this year. My leg is ok newlad, have a tight hamstring, seen the physio today and hopefully i ll be right for our munster semi sunday

I knew they lost Packie Darcy to Shannon Town and Seanie Mac to the Bridge but I didn't know about Hammed and Norrby going aswll, big losses especially Hammed who's one of the best center backs in the county very few get past him. Haha going by his United form Nani is lucky to even get a game with Lifford hopefully they pick it up anyway after losing so many and finish as high up as they can.

was a great game sunday, good showcase for the league... ye have a very strong squad this year and hope ye go far in the competition, was that a full strength side? think bridge can challenge the top two this year along with ennis town under Darryl, he'll get great support and knows the game inside-out. on a side note taught the the avenue left back could have showed some class on sun, ino tempers were high after ye scored the 3rd but he took it too far with what he said running down the line!

I actually heard this aswell but I wasn't going to bring it up, he's a young lad and he'll learn, no doubt he'll be embarrassed about what he said..
