Askeaton played the weekend - news of their demise seems premature - anyone know who made up the team? Was it a lot of their youths?
Fair play to them for hanging in if they lost that many players.
Will Broadford be missing many players with football on Sunday? A pity they got such a big game clashing, im sure they would rather have had something a little easier than NCW, even if they are struggling.
Anyone know what was the line-up for the Oscar Traynor team at the wknd, and from what clubs?
Glad to see askeaton not giving up even tho they got a bit of a beating. It would be nice to see them keep going even it means going through bad time in division 1. Is the football final on this weekend? Surely broadford and ncw will come to an agreement and change the game or call it off or something.
Hopefully Askeaton keep on going anyway, its terrible to see what has happened there in the last few seasons! Maybe if they go down this season sort out the crap at the club they could bounce back in no time.
The football final is on this weekend alright, can't see N.C.W looking to change or call it off. Both Drom/Broadford and NCW played in the final last year and had 2 league games the same day!
Some big games this weekend..... is d Broadford NCW game going ahead ? i think both rathkeale and shannonside will both get through in the Munster Junior

Athea have a great set up. Dressing rooms one of the best in the league. Pitch is perfect and wear blue and white stripes
Cheers for that info, great to hear that pitch and dressing rooms are at that standard. Nothing worse than travelling to a game and landing to a pitch that is more like a cow field

Fair play to Athea utd, the facilites are a credit to the club. 3-1 to Avenue, A decent game it was too and a nice size crowd turned up to watch. Our first goal was a screamer, got a very good second goal against the run of play and was 2 nil at half time. We looked more dangerous in the second half but were caught against the run of play and it was 2-1. About 5 mins later, we got the 3rd which killed the game off. Again thanks to Athea for their hospitality, nice bunch of lads
