celtic, clough and thurles win again 3 points between the top four starting to look like it could be a very competitive season. clough vs town result will have a big impact. i heard there was fireworks at the nenagh town champions cup game was there three red cards

In fairness it was a good clean game. In the 75th minute a Nenagh player went a bit 'psycho' when a Celtic player he had fouled threw the ball at him in frustration. There followed a mini free for all. It was nothing major just the usual pushing and shoving with the exception of the Nenagh player who looked as if he was doing an audition for 'The Mike Tyson Story'. Not surprisingly he got red carded along with the Celtic player who had thrown the ball at him. Another Celtic player was then sent off for doing no more than what another dozen players were doing i.e. trying to break up the skirmish. The game settled again after this. It was an isolated incident in what was otherwise a decent game.

Ya 3 points between 4 makes it very interesting, clough v town should be tight but i think town might shade it, what club are you with blackman ?

Anyone know if a red in the munster champions cup mean a suspension in the TSDL & NTDL leagues?

It's an MFA competition so I'd presume its run under their rule book. If a players is sent off and his team lost then I'd imagine he'd have to serve his suspension in his domestic league. Obviously if they won he'd be suspended for the next game in that competition. I could be wrong but I'm just going on normal procedure.

Great win for town considering we were missing 6 first team players two of which were both their goalkeepers. Tough game in a tough place over with now and thankfully the result went our way.

I just saw Lough Dergs development in last weeks guardian. They seem to have a full size astro pitch. Does anyone know if they have floodlights (I assume they do)?

Ya it has floodlights, and a couple of playing and training pitches, looks top class fair play to them

Cool - could that mean that during the normal "winter break" that the league should be able to play off the season in killaloe? Would be good to see them bring in a rule that if your pitch is unplayable then you have the choice of loosing home advantage or playing on the astro?

Good game in nenagh today between town and peake. Think town will feel they could have got something with the lions share of possession and territory, especially second half. Have to say that peake got their shape and tactics spot on though
