Micro USB connection input and output

I wonder if anyone can help. I'm looking for a Micro USB connection output from my Blackberry so I can connect to an external hard drive. I just can't seem to find one and if I see something I don't know if the sizes are correct as there's no guarantee all connections are the same. I suppose a USB adaptor might work also but again I'm not sure on connection sizes etc. I'm loking for a HDMI connection from my playbook to my TV but again I haven't a clue about getting the right connection.

Any thoughts welcome. I'm considering the adaptor as the solution but if anyone knows f a product I need I'd appreciate the advice.

    Thanks

Look for a Micro USB data cable that is compatible with your Blackberry.

Also, search for HDMI cable that's compatible with the playbook. Amazon or EBay should do it for you.
Did you ever notice that in every painting of Adam & Eve, they have belly buttons. Think about that...take as long as you want.

    Thamks for that.

What I'm looking for is the same output as the input to the Blackberry if that makes sense. I think I'll settle on a two way adaptor. That way I can be certain I have the right connection.

Thanks for your reply and thought put into it. Appreciated.

Do you mean an OTG cable? Will the BB support it?

Thats the one or certainly the term I need to search for. Thank you. Not sure if the Blackberry will support it. Knowing my luck. No. But I'm on the right track now.

    Thanks all.

If you ask in a BB-specific forum, someone will tell you straight away.

Thank you. I think you might be right on the compatibility issue. BB doesn't seem to have the capacity to pick up external drives. It was as much wishful thinking on my part but I will check before I make a silly purchase.

It's a fairly new thing tbh. It's been possible for years, but it's really only been picked up in a big way since handset manufactures started sealing in batteries and thus storage, making it impossible to switch in a larger SD/CF card.
