Finished 3-2. AUL were better side, Red card was a stonewaller. AUL could have scored more. They represented their clubs and our league like their lives depended on it. Only when you look around the pitch do you realise the talent in the squad. We might all add one or two but their isn't much better than Babbsy, Vinny, James O Leary, Nolans, Howie, Dean Kelly. Talented players who played hard for each other and their manager. Congrats.

Hard to tell. Not a great game in fairness. 5 shocking goals. None of the 2 goalkeepers covered themselves in glory. Ref was spot on with the major calls apart from 1 when he waved away a linos flag and Aul scored there second goal. Red card was easiest call he will ever have to make. I hope both teams will improve.

You don't post much anymore Horse but when you do your posts are (mostly ;-)) spot on. Well done to the AUL, any ideas of the starting 11?

Up to the sending off the defence forces were the better side. The red card was the correct call. Defence forces created next to nothing in 2nd half. Thomas Butler; pender, babs, Vinny, Gary comerford; howie, Leary, Cian, dean Kelly; Philip ?and Gary Nolan

I read Barry's post there, so I wasnt too far out!!

up to the sending off defence forces were better side i thought it was a poor game though. but 3 points on the board donal wont be complaining. i thoiught greany coming on and dropping in to make it a 4-5-1 of sorts helped the aul get the foot hold they needed. red card was a stonewaller only 1 winner from then on should have been more in the end keepers and defenders needed to be drafted into that squad big time.

impossible to tell really sending off killed the defence forces who up to then looked the better side.

Thomas butler plays for village. Should have done better for the 2nd goal. They badly need a right full. Both goals came from his side last nite and he was very shakey. But it's 3 points and job done
