I remember a few years back the aul instructing the then manager not to select a very good player for some stupid reason so when othet players from that club were selected they said no thanks. went up to greenwood game they were 2 up inside 20 mins and cruising then proceeded to throw it away letting fairview back to lead 3 2 at half time with timmy sheehan giving the full back an awful runaround second half the ref who loves to be the centre of attention booked joe ryan for a dive in the box when it was a blatant penalty ok he made it look theatrical but it was a spotter right in front of me he was itching to book him imo fairview tired towards the end and greenwood equalised through poo dunlea no real chances et and bad peno wide to lose it for greenwood
should have sent forde off for a shove in the face but didnt have the bottle as it was on their side but its a tough job when you make it tough for yourself i suppose
