Good result for us! Town put out a much changed team to the team that played us on Saturday but fair play to them still came out comfortable winners. Caherconlish have 3 or 4 good individual players that would get in most starting 11's in 1A IMO .. just don't seem to play as a team at all
good run of results recently has new manager worked some magic with ye

are the same people who oversaw the demise of newtown commiting the same mistakes. I was always under the impression that hibs had a healthy schoolboy setup but now i hear that it is falling apart

don't panic you wont ask any questions but you keeping throwing out digs at hibs and their committee ? personally i cannot comment on underage setup but as far as i know soccer in Shannon from junior football back to underage with all the Shannon clubs not so good at the moment so just not one club with problems

Whos the new manager? Schoolboys/girls football at both clubs is very healthy IMO. Good setup at both clubs and fair play to them!!

I think the people that are involved in fooball in Shannon, that have a genuine interest in having schoolboys and then progression to seniors, should get together to work out something that would see it work , which in my opinion would be one club. This is the only chance for success imo

Yeah I totally agree with you but honestly can't see the two clubs folding to create one club.. Personally I'd love it to happen.

the problem being each want to protect their own piece of the pie that they have at the moment and are watching other clubs in the 'hope' they crumble and their club is the last man standing. too many politics for it ever to happen (main pitch etc - which in my opinion should be picked by the manager and what suits his team), even crest and colours would be a trivial issue as each would still want to retain theirs. To move forward and get a proper, well run, well supported (people and financially) it should be one club. Look at Wolfe Tones as an example. instead the current football clubs are too happy to be challenging each other is summer tournaments and getting one up on the arch rivals to be bothered about what would be best for football for the current and future players of Shannon

I agree, it's a shame because it would be some club if there was just one be great!

I agree that it should be one club and I'm convinced its only shannon town holding it back. .hibs imo would jump at the chance to join forces.. but I think town know they are the bigger club and will push hibs out as much as they can by signing the younger underage players with town and try keep them. I don't think hibs have underage fron 12s to 16s which is a shame and will probably be there downfall in the long run

Town bigger numbers, hibs best facilities.. Makes complete sense to join as one.
