Im not going to name and shame on this, but it was a squad member this season. Sure if its not true that the end of it! Apologies for bringing it up, just couldn't believe it when I heard it but now you confirmed it isn't true just goes down as another "rumour" around Shannon!

Yeah hopefully they do, caherconlish have 2 tough games next so hibs should stay up, thought the performance against Shannon town was good and the scoreline didn't reflect on the game, not a great game itself but only my opinion.Originally Posted by Coolcat

Staying up has to be the main priority though and with Town playing Caherconlish tomorrow hopefully they can do us a favour and beat them. Hope they show the same desire they showed against us and im sure they will!

Who are they meant to be missing? You'd think with the big squad Town have that they will be able to cope and beat caherconlish no matter what team they bring out especially on there home turf.
Just heard 2/3 lads on evening and 1 lad getting married saturday so wont be available tuesday..could be all crap talk too.
im sure they will give it everything they have. You say they are looking to bring in a few head. I hope they and other clubs have learned from mistakes of the past and not just sign anyone who has a reputation of leaving after a few games. You don't want to sign players who have a rep of leaving when the going gets tough but you also want to sign good players so there has to be a happy medium i think. As far as asking questions of the people running the club, maybe you have a point but at the same time when a host of players that are signed leave the club what are you suppose to do? You can't blame the people running the club for that!
cant really blame people runnin club for players leaving and if they stopped caring about club there would be no more hibs ? People tend to forget on amalgamation that all the park people have run away from new club they were involved in setting up so lets not blame current set up at hibs for everything

Think its reasonable to ask questions also why have all the park people left. Club seems to be going nowhere so think they are fair questions.
fair point but i cant understand if people who were so commited to forming a new club with hopes of improving juniour and underage football can just walk away and lets not forget they were involved at committe level so would have a big say in club decisions ?

What questions do you want to ask? Only the park lads can answer why they left. If you know any of them you should ask them?? What are the other questions you want answers to??
Not gonna criticise individuals but feel that the amalgamation has not worked out. I personally believe that club should go back to Clare league under the Newton name.
Shannon Town 4-1 Caherconlish, Sean Burke and Adrian Carew got 2 of Town's goals, not sure who got the other 2
Good result for us! Town put out a much changed team to the team that played us on Saturday but fair play to them still came out comfortable winners. Caherconlish have 3 or 4 good individual players that would get in most starting 11's in 1A IMO .. just don't seem to play as a team at all

Sorry i dont understand? You said questions should be asked? You haven't asked any of these questions? What are the questions you want to ask? If you think newtown should go back to the clare league why dont you do something about it? Who do you want to address this situation?

I feel by asking questions might leave good people open to criticism. Unfortunately I think the Newtown days are gone but would be right behind the idea.
you brought it up in the first place don't panic ? you may as well ask the questions now I'd be intrested to see what the questions are and what answers you get on here .. first off the newtown days are long long gone that may answer one question ?
