There always seems to be goals when we play in Greenhills! Last year the game had 5 goals, year before had 8 this year 7 goals!! An even enough game with both teams playing relatively well considering the grass on the pitch was very long. Caherdavin led one nil after sloppy defending from a corner. We equalised from a corner through Eugene McNamara. Caherdavin then went 3-1 up, we pulled one back just before half time again through Eugene McNamara. Ht 3-2.
Second half was tight. We equalised with about 20 left & got the winner 10 from the end both scored by Marcus Finucane - the winner in particular a brilliant strike worthy of winning any game. Best of luck to Caherdavin, next up Pike b Sunday.
terrible injury for a young lad hope he makes a full recovery ... surprised and shocked referee re-started and finished game after such a bad injury

Agree with you it is always terrible to see any player get that type of injury especially your own!! Hopefully he's out for the minimum time possible! As far as the match being re-started, why wouldn't it be re-started? the ambulance was there within 10 mins. as they say the show must go on
St importantly speedy recovery to the yound lad.Tricky situation this,if ref asks both reams do they want to continue then and both agree then no problem.But you could also have a scenario which as you say ref should not have restarted the game where a player has an injury which may not be too serious and his team are losing or maybe down to 10,and he's rolling around the ground screaming.Do you call the game off?I've seen games continue and also abondoned so I wouldn't be too quick to lay blame on ref.most importantly speedy recovery to the young lad.

Dave Mc Parland was the player, his operation went well and they said he'd be out for at least 16 weeks
