I didn't see the game, but given Nigeria were 3-0 up within half an hour, did they just let up after that?

Essentially yes. I fear for the Spain game.

    15-0...

    It's Spain.

    95% possession, 2-0.

What are the odds on Spain? 1-200?

Yep. That's what Paddy Power are offering anyway.

    1/100 on over 2.5 goals. 8/1 on a 5-0 win, and 7/1 on a 10-0 win.

You can get less than 2.5 goals at 14/1 if you fancy that!

Ronnie is in a much better mood today. He appears to have decided that both teams should be allowed continue in the tournament.

Worst Brazil side Ronnie has ever seen. How long before he starts calling for them to be banned from the World Cup?

I think Ray could get a job as a personal trainer to Neymar, to help him iron out the many deficiencies (according to Ray) in his game.

I imagine the limit of Ray's advice would be "you should have hit that across the goalkeeper".

Ronnie's on the warpath after finding out the Italians played beach volleyball the day after the Mexico match.

I didn't think it would be as good as it has been. 2-0 Japan! First goal was never a penalty but what a finish from Kagawa.

That was a harsh penalty award for Italy.
Good refereeing to balance it all out so soon.

Japan's players are more technical than Italy's, surprisingly, but Italy still have the greater talent. Feel so bad for Japan.

That was a very enjoyable game.
The Brazilian crowd really get into it and make the atmosphere.

The commentators (on BBC) mentioned during the first game that the biggest Japanese community outside Japan is in Brazil.

Yeah, big numbers went there as farmers in the early 20th century. Around South America in general. The corrupt ex-president of Peru, Fujimori, was of Japanese ancestry.

    Anyway, f**k Italy.
