They are also paying big money to the pundits they have on, so it is not just they cost of the rights. G Souness used to have a limo pick him up from the airport and also collect Dunphy in Renalagh/Rathgar and bring them to the rte studio in Donnybrook, which for an organisation that is broke you would have to say fair play to them.

I hope the limo was full of scantily clad young women?

They might fulfil the role of a National Broadcaster now and devote resources to a domestic game? Its a big kick in the teeth for Bill and his O'Herlihy Communications company, whatever will he do now? My heart bleeds for the man.
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

Is he not quitting next year anyway? I'm sure O'Herlihy Communications will be fine, they're well-entrenched in the sports establishment in this country by now.

Well if they dont have the rights to EPL then that show wont go ahead now i'd imagine. It would have been one of the bigger contracts he would have had, i'd have thought anyway.

Yeah, i'll scratch your back if you scratch mine. Goes on wholesale i'd say.

But he doesn't do the premiership anymore. He gave that up a few seasons back.

But its still his company that do it though, or did that change in the meantime? I'm not 100% on that now that you say it, just i hadn't heard of a change of hands for it.
