As some of ye might have seen in the notes, the Supporter's club along with Section O are running their own Fantasy League this year on http://fantasy.premierleague.com/. Entry is €10 with cash prizes being awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places at the end of the season. To enter text 0877619299 or contact any member of Section O or the Supporters' Club before August 17th and they'll supply you with the code to enter the league. The prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd will be announced after the deadline to enter the competition is closed on August 17th. The league is obviously not just open to Longford Town fans so make sure to share it and tell your friends!
As most people know Fantasy football is extremely popular at the moment so this could be a good way to raise a bit of money for the club. Entry is only €10 which isn't bad compared to some money leagues so I'd be hopeful of getting a big number joining. The money will be held by the Supporter's club until the end of the season. I'm also in the process of getting some of the players to join as im sure most play anyway! I know Gillespie had his own "Beat Keith Gillespie" league last year where he offered a prize to anyone that finished above him but had to renege on that as he wasn't very good. Anyway if you know anyone that plays the game as im sure most do, try and get them to join and for any non-Longford posters reading this you are welcome to join as well!
