Plans for a £32m development of new homes next to th St. Michaels Estate in Inchicore, Dublin have been submitted to Dublin City Council.

Carriden Developments, of which the directors are John F. Doyle and Gerald Farrell are seeking to build 140 apartments at Thomas Davis St. near the site of the former Sisters of Mercy Goldenbridge Industrial School.

St. Michael's Estate consists of a series of city council apartments blocks which had been earmarked for demolition. Meanwhile St. Patrick's Athletic Football Club has also formulated plans to build a new stadium on adjoining ground to St. Michael's.
