I wont thank that danny cos i already knew :P

Good stuff though pointing to that. I often worry that Trap and the rest don't fully understand, or should I say aren't aware about this or the worst runner up and current standings in that table.

You'd imagine at least somebody at the FAI is aware and passes on such info to the management, but you just wouldn't know for sure...

Exactly Danny, you wouldn't....I mean for the Euro qualifying, the little bits and pieces you got from the players suggested they weren't aware of how these things worked. And i know just playing amateur sport, players are more involved with playing and winning, than what's actually involved to get to the next stage so to speak.

    Dear FAI
If your past record is anything to go by, you (effin) retards probably don't know the score re WC qual tiebreakers.
Please read the following attached document from Fifa.

    Up yours,
    Bonnie.

The ranking method is getting so complicated you need a lawyer to work it out!!!

    Up yours,
    Bonnie.

When I sent that email from bonnieshels@hotmail.com, they had no record of me. But they did say they knew a shels support called bonnie and would be banning him from the Aviva.

I don't think that will really bother him though, because he seems to be posting on here most times they are playing....

Tbf, have his home e-mail, but it won't be needed.

Even the FAI aren't that stupid...
The 'Trapp factor' is surely sufficient evidence!

That's good stuff there lads today, made me laugh.

I'm looking forward to this match.
I wish this were a train of Irish fans arriving at the Stadium.
But how does the conductor see anything?

Look at the 3rd photo. When the rugby players did this a while back there was a big write up about how great they were taking time out. Yet the soccer players go under the radar and no big deal - which it should be - but I remember people saying ye wouldn't see the soccer players doing that...

I don't think the conductor has a problem, its the train driving man that has the problem.

Very interesting that 63 TDs are taking an interest. I've always felt that football was only ever of interest to the political class at opportune and highly visible moments. One well known football insider told me off the record that the disproportionate representation of GAA areas in the Dail, and hence its dominant influence, was a factor counting against football.

I'll be more eloquent. I may include a reference to a tie and crates of Carlsberg though.

I would like to think that you'd assume that BonnieShels wasn't my real name. The cheek. The amount of times in Poznan I had to refrain from calling Stutts, Stutts was frightening.

Smartphones dear Paul, Smart phones enable me to be at a game and post in here. Just like when I saunter across the road tomorrow from the office.

I like the concept of having a "home" email address.

It would be one factor. The other factor is the FAI itself. And that I feel is definitely the biggest one counting against soccer in this country.

    /QUOTE]

    I would tend to agree.
I think most genuine sports fans in this country (including TDs) would have at least a passing interest in the Rugby, Soccer and GAA teams - especially when it gets to a big stage (ie Euros/World Cup, 6 Nations, All-Ireland)
Folding my way into the big money!!!

I didn't realise Brian Kerr was rooting for the Faroes until I heard a skit on it in Gift Grub this am and apparently it's true:

    http://www.irishmirror.ie/news/brian...-happy-1927796

Sure he worked with them as the manager but he also managed us. He's never really forgiven the FAI for letting him go. It comes across in just about every interview. To ruin our chances for a meaningless point for the Faroes? He's definitely away with the Faroes !
Forget about the performance or entertainment. It's only the result that matters.
