As before, there's no uniform LOI mentality (and it certainly not an irish thing to feel the need to be part of somethign, but that's a different story and irrelevent here) about Europe. Some will go to other teams games, some will wish them well, some won't care either way and some will hope they lose and half their players get injured.
My own attitude changes from team to team (and depends on how it effects Pats). The only argument I defiitely agree with is that Irish clubs winning games in Europes helps the perception about the league. I don't think it helps crowds or anything, but it certainly doesn't hurt them.

No matter what Irish, or Northern Irish team, is playing in Europe, I'll support them and have often gone to their away games if they were nearby. Most countries don't enjoy such unity, maybe when our clubs are challenging for Champions and Europa League titles it'll change though.
Love this time of year - best of luck to Drogs and Pats - do us proud.
