The shake up needs to happen now

I have held back on comments for weeks now until I saw the team play in the flesh.

It is frightening to see how so many of them have gone backwards of late....and how some of the old reliables have kept it going.

Here are my thoughts and ratings out of 10 on importance to the Club at present.

Devine: Solid as ever. His distribution is improving also - is throwing the ball out quicker - Rating = 8
Murphy: Timing in tackles has disimproved, through balls less evident, hoofing much more, still aggressive but has gone backwards - R = 6
Bennett: Gets better with each day. Wears his heart on his sleeve (unlike some others). Would go through a brick wall for the club. Solid in defence. Has chipped in with a few vital goals also - R = 8
Murray: Lacking confidence. Doesn't display leadership ability on the pitch. Passing under pressure is awful - R = 6
George: What can you saw about this guy. Spoilt, petulant, egotistic, racist and probably the most stupid individual to lace up a pair of boots since Gazza. How his team mates can even sit in the same d/room with him without giving him a box is beyond me. The laugh of it all is that he hasn't performed this season - needs to sort himself out or get out before the he rots the whole barrel of apples - R = 3
Colin T: Model pro. Keeps his mouth shut, has been so consistent. Hope lasst nights injury is not too serious - R = 8
Kearney: Gets better and better. Thorn for every defender. Demonstrated how a "real pro" should react when dropped - R = 8
Doyler: What a gem. Probably the best player in the League. Pace, skill, heart, determination, and a great attitude.....palyer of the season by a mile - R = 10
Flynny: What is wrong / up with him. If he is still injured then he is not doing himself any favours - it will only get worse. If he is fit and just not trying then he is doing us no favours ( I don't think this is the case BTW ). I think the guys confidence is at an all time low (see last nights carry on after the penalty miss). Tough one to call but he isn't performing so he shouldn't play just like some others - R = 5
Fenn: Seems to be the hardest done by. Hopefully he will show his true professionalism and come back stronger - he's with us for another 2 years so he needs to understand that playing with U-21's in Bishopstown can be quite a lonely place - R = 7
Greg: "I love City this week - I want a transfer next week". The only people more confused that this guy at this stage are the fans. Make up your mind son or join the other flute above.

.........Oh, by the way we have a brilliant young U-21 Team that have ACTUALLY won some silverware in recent years that are only dying to play for the Club they love.

...he has performed better than alot of the squad this season. He turned the game last week and this week, whilst not playing at his best, the team upped it when he came on - they had hardly been out of their own half before hand. A three implies he had contributed less to the team this year than any other player - IMO there are a few who should be on 2 then.

Agree with most of it .... the whole Georgie situation will be clouded anyway with so many Georgie haters around, so when something like this happens, they raise their heads, so people takes sides ever before they look at what is happening.

Georgie hasn't done himself any favours recently, but he comes in for a lot of grief. Alot is expected of him so he is going to come in for this grief when things dont work out. Alot of what he has done is down to inexperience and the mistakes that he needs to make. But with people lining up to take a pop off him, the whole situation is a mess.

It is great that we have so many good players in the mix though.

You left Joe Gamble out Crow, and I would give him 8 on last nights performance. He is getting better with each game and I am certainly changing my mind about him.
I've said it before and will probably say it again, but I believe Kevin Doyle is the best EVER signing for City. Just how long we will be able to hang on to him is a worry though. He must be attracting serious attention from across the pond by now. Deans and Doyle will have nightmares about him for the next year.

Just want to clarify a few things guys.

I am not a "Georgie Hater". The complete opposite. I was very pro George.....up to 2 weeks ago. However, his comments after the Bohs game were scandelous and as for running to Spillane and the Echo........who does he think he is.......Beckham His comments were racist and showed exactly the type of person he is - completely wrapped up in his own self importance.

Agree with Patsh - Doyle is the best ever signing for City.

Copletely disagre with SSS - George did nothing in the first half except moan at the linesman. The game didn't change when he came on. It changed when Flynny went off and we had some players running into space for a change.

Patsh, you have a great future as a writer. Pure class expression there!

    I would add:
Hoggie 8, composed, linked brilliantly with Woods and Gamble, and covered for Danny’s jitters in the first half last night.
Woods 8. Looked like the only person who might score for much of the first half. His crosses last night were vintage Woods. Pity he came into the middle so much, giving the shams number 3 the space to come forward.
Behan 10. A legend in the making. If he plays at 50% of last night's standard for the rest of the season, City will take points all over the place.
