Hedderman in line for Derry return

Former Irish youth international Robbie Hedderman could be set for a surprise return to the Derry City side for Friday night’s FAIreland Carlsberg Cup clash with Waterford United at the Brandywell after all of Stephen Kenny’s options for a left-side midfield role were rendered unavailable.

The much-travelled Dubliner returned to Ireland last year after a stint with Aberdeen, joining Derry after unfruitful spells with St Patrick’s Athletic and Cork City.
