Question plenty of irish doing fairly well but miller..

..looks a little overawed? understand he hasn't had nowhere near a run but seems like even he doesn't know what his best position is yet. it's certainly not left midfield as in the last ten minutes of the Rooney-Conquers-the-Universe(tm) game last night. got spun around, a little bit bewildered (okay lots and lots bewildered) and i was wearing my liam miller sunglasses too

of all the irish across the water the premiership players are mostly taking a bit to get into their stride. exceptions being kink kenny, carsely and kilbane.

the others are only getting going now.

div one on the other hand is another story entirely. Rowlands is doing quite nicely at qpr(4 wins in a row) and Brian was there to watch the last one. Barret is doing ok in an ok coventry team and paddy kenny is keep ing a few clean sheets- though stack is too. (euro football as well mind you)

elliot of course is the main man so far with 5 goals and considering connollys start to the season, elliot may figure int he main squad before season's end.

I think it was the wrong time for Miller to go to UTd. He should have stuck with Celtic and he would have played the vast majority of Celtics games in Europe.

I seen him played the 8 odd minutes and he looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights on the pitch. Doesnt know what he's at

Ah well. **** him, I say. Schadenfreude really isn't the prettiest of feelings, but it's all I sense where Miller is concerned...

Couldn't agree more. Do you think Ferguson would have bought him if he had to pay a fee for him?

Critics of Scottish footy should look at Stilian Petrov who has developed into a fine player while at Celtic.

just went onto www.qpr.org and asked what the story was
hi there- irishfan here lving in canada. wondering how martin rowlands is doing this season.
    and got the response

The honest answer is not thatgreat. Not that he's been especially bad, but last season he was without doubt THE standout player in our team. This year, to the surprise of pretty much all of us, he's nothing like as good. I'm sure it'll happen, he's a class act, but at the moment, he's one of the lesser lights in a team shining very brightly. That said, I've seen some heartening signs in the last couple of games. He'll be back.
so 'sh!te' seems to be an overstatement on your part

I said "supposedly" which means its coming from someone else and I haven't seen him this season. I think its fair to call someone's form "supposedly shíte" when you read the following comment:
Mr Rowlands was taken off today, his form has been lost somewhere between loftus Road and Lansdowne Rd, if found please deliver to W12 ASAP cos if he was playing anywhere near his potential I might be dreaming of the big time again.... Well I can but dream.

I disagree but that's hardly an issue. As for Rowlands, he has nearly 200 league games under his belt and he's been playing well for most of them, bound to have a drop in form eventually. Disappointing its when he should be stepping up to a tougher division but we'll have to wait and see.

exciting form he may not have but he's only been substuted once or twice in 11 games and he is contributing by all accounts. As the guy on apr.org said, not great compared to last season but hardly 'crap' or 'sh!te'.

do players have to be playing out of their skins every week to avoid negativity and jibes? Do we expect miller, rowlands et al to be 'world class'.

Miller is a good example of a guy who has made a huge step up and in a new set up is getting to grips slowly with the situation. hardly a disaster. Bit early to be giving out about him not being up to scratch yet.

Most people rate players on the standards they set. I'm sure I've heard Robbie Keane's form being described as shíte even though he is still better than someone like Huckerby with Huckerby at his best. If a player plays just as good as an off form and crap Duff he could still be described as very good. Its all about standards and from the comments I read I would desribe Rowlands start to the season as shíte, even though someone seeing him for the first time would say he's playing OK. Sorry, I can't explain that any better.
