Help! Q about getting from Brussels to Paris

    How's it going.

My old man is arriving into Brussels on the Friday morning before the BIG game. I was just wondering if any of you Euro based lads know roughly how often the high speed train (Thaylis?) to Paris departs? Also, what is the average price of a one way ticket to Paris? (He flies home from Paris so only needs a one way.) And finally - is it worth saving a few coins and taking the slower train? Anyone know how long the slower one takes and how much it costs?

Thanks for any help you can provide!! Roll on next Week!!

    Go Raibh Maith Agat

    Thalys

All the info you want is on Thalys website including timetables and ticket prices. Cheaper tickets may be sold out at this stage - you can book online.

all the details, including times and prices can be found here

the trains are regular enough, but expensive. A gang of us are flying into Charleori on the saturday morning, but we're renting a hire car instead of taking the train, works out way cheaper if there's a few travelling.

Bus goes on the hour roughly from Belgium and can be looked at here

My da's a bit 'old skool' and still doesn't like using his Credit Card online, is it possible to walk up to a ticket counter at Brussels Station and buy a ticket for the next train to Paris? I assume they probably charge you more to do that.

Thanks again for yer help . . .

You can book on Abbey St through Irish Rail for the Thalys, did it myself yesterday Amsterdam/Paris return for €91 plus another €10 booking fee. You can ring them to book it too number is on the website! might see you on the train!!!
