    eircom League Weekly Tonight !!

    Just a reminder !!
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.

Cheers A Face, forgot all about it this week! Not sure I should have bothered, mind. Just saw Doyle's goal again, he ran from outside the box, with three DC players standing in the six-yard area watching, AND NO-ONE PICKED HIM UP.

Hey ... we dont mind !!

Roddy is under even more pressure now, we'll try and do you a favour on Friday and beat Rovers, although it wont be as easy as people would like to think !!

If Cork can't beat Rovers, Dolan should resign and then commit hara-kiri. I mean, WE beat Rovers and beat them well, away from home. And anyone who was at the game on Thursday knows how bad we are.

TBH, I think most of us are fairly ambivalent about avoiding relegation at this stage, it might be far more trouble than it's worth. Academic anyway, unless Rovers only pick up 2-3 points for the remainder of the season (which, in fairness, is by no means inconceivable.)

I was going to ask the exact same question!!
why would you think it wont be as easy as people think???

I agree that if you cant win against rovers then cork are going nowhere and the uefa cup will be gone!

Absolutely... "Sometimes historically we're notorious bad travellers" Good man Pat...

And this Rovers team is the worst I've ever seen. Our (just above relagation) team hammered them a few weeks ago and they've lost 5 on thr bounce now...

I reckon we'll do well to pick up amy more than 203 points in our remaining eight games. I just can't see where a win is going to come from, so, at best, we'll get a couple of draws. Fortunatly that should be just about enough, as it would mean CHF needing a minimum of 3 to 4 wins out of their remaining eight - something that, thankfully, just isn't going to happen. It's quite concievable that we could loose all our remaining games, including against CHF on the last day of the season and still steer clear of relegation.

Thank God for the switch back to the twelve team Premier!

see me over celebrating with kevin doyle? i'm hardcore, me.

BTW whoever saw the city highlights those were the evil city fans behind the goal, who were quite possibly practising satanism at the time. or whatever dublin city accused us of. either that or making crop circles, either/or.
Whatever it was I am sure it was better than my plan to get out of this by pretending to be mad. I mean, who would have noticed another madman around here?

City are playing so badly that I don't think that anyone could seriously believe we'd beat any team easily.

Unfortunately not, City managed to hold Rovers to a draw a couple of weeks ago.

You obviously haven't seen us play recently. We are truely TERRIBLE, and that's putting it mildly. One league win since June says it all!
