    Mulvihill gives Athlone the win

Athlone Town came from a goal down to beat Kilkenny City 2-1 at St. Mel's Park last night.

The Cats did go ahead on 13 minutes. Niall Andrews turned and fired home in an instant to beat Anthony Fennelly.

Former Irish under-19 striker Paddy Mulvihill fired his first goal for new club Athlone Town to inspire the midlanders to victory over Kilkenny City at St Mel’s Park on Friday night.

Mulvihill, the ex-Longford Town man, joined Athlone at the start of the month and he fired the winning goal on the hour mark at the Westmeath ground.

Paddy Mulvihill is a good prospect and alan matthews was incorredt in letting such a fine prospect go, another achievement to his list

If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

Just shows the interest of Athlone supporters in Athlone Town. The only contributors to their forum are from Cork and Longford.
