Thumbs down Back down to earth

Well beaten 4-1 tonight, doesn't help being 2 down in seven minutes. Still this is better than not being there at all. I hope the young players can learn from this though.

Cobh are not a bad side at all. Harps were pretty emphatic in the victory tonight. Good team there to build on. Looked dangerous on the attack. Good goal scored too.

2 long ball mistakes failing to clear the ball for the first 2 goals and an OG(although lots of deabte on this,I thought it was an OG) from a set piece for the third just after we scored through Conor meade man of the match for me on the night from a ramblers perspective, his work eithic was superb he never stopped trying to get the ball and make things happen, Ramblers had their chances in the first half where they went in last week against the youths it just didnt happen on the night and individual mistakes at the back cost us, the second half was poor from ramblers with Harps having the majority of the play and putting ramblers on the back foot and getting the fourth goal late in the half.

Ramblers looked like they had just made a 6 hour journey up to harps and it definetly showed on the pitch in the first 10 minutes and after that they were always playing catch up, it was a pity the match could not have been moved to accomadate the travelling team maybe next time.

Are Cobh going to move the match with Harps to accomodate the travelling team? No. It's not in the best interests of the home team to give up that sort of advantage.

I thought your left winger was fairly good. Great pace about him and will cause defences bother.

As for the 3rd Harps goal, I thought it was an OG too, one or two of the players said it was an OG, but a lot of people were absolutely certain that it was McCarrons header.

Agree with Nigel, makes no sense to give up that sort of advantage, no point in us moving to Friday's either, for some odd reason it never worked for us.

Our matches are on a Saturday all though we should move it to a Friday for Harps

No it was an OG from where I was standing which was fairly close to the penalty box, we may need the sky sports replay to show it!

Definate OG for me..we had a chance before half time to bring it back to 3-2 when Flynny's effort hit the keepers head. Second half was a big dissappointment and the pitch was a shambles. Anyone there has to agree as it was dead, there was no bounce when the ball hit the surface... crazy stuff.. Should be a different game at Colmans Park!!! No hot water in the showers for the players after the game added insult to injury, imagine a six hour journey back to COBH stinking... Something needs to be done about that, Peter Hutton when questioned about it just shrugged his shoulders.... not good enough lads, not by a long shot!!!

No hot water in showers? That is a disgust.

The showers are a long standing problem in Finn Park stretching back for years. The whole clubhouse in Finn Park is falling apart. Hence new stadium being built.

If there was any problems, it should have been directed to a club official, there's very little the manager of the team can do about that. Imagine someone walking into old trafford and giving out to Ferguson about the showers? There would be some laugh.

Pitch was in bad condition because the weather has been all over the place up here the past few weeks and nothing could be done with the pitch. It was spiked during the week but because of the weather couldn't be rolled. There's work going ahead on it this week if the weather stays fine.

Don't get me wrong Nigel & it's not sour grapes as Ramblers were beaten by the better team on the night. I just feel that a hot shower for the palyers is the least they can expect after a hard game!!

Of course, I don't disagree in the slightest.

Also, where did your information come on them driving back to Cobh on the night? As far as I'm aware...they didn't

They were meant to stay up originally. A lot of the team are made up of U19's and they had a posponed game rescheduled for Sat afternoon against Shels which they also lost 2-1 at St Colmans Park. Bad W/E for Ramblers!!!

Far as I know, most of the team stayed in Sligo on Friday night though.
