Under 21 v Leinster and Munster

    http://greenscene.me/2013/02/noel-ki...nster-munster/

Squad of Irish based players only. Should be a good opportunity for players to make an impression and force their way into King's full squad.

It's against a Leinster/Munster selection from the intermediate leagues that will be representing Ireland in the regions cup.

Greg Murray (Bohemian FC), Niall Burdon (Shelbourne FC), Michael Barker (Bohemian FC), Roberto Lopes (Bohemian FC), Luke Byrne (Bohemian FC), Chris Lyons (Bohemian FC), Hugh Douglas (UCD AFC), Barry McCabe (UCD AFC), Robbie Benson (UCD AFC), Ismahil Akinade (Bray Wanderers FC), Kevin Knight (Bray Wanderers FC), Eoghan Osborne (Dundalk FC), Daniel Purdy (Longford Town FC), Stephen McDonnell (Dundalk FC), Chris Forrester (St Patrick’s Athletic FC), Conor Murphy (St Patrick’s Athletic FC), Barry McNamee (Derry City FC)

its strange to me that no player from munster teams selected. I thought that some players like Horgan from Cork, O Leary,Coughlan from Limerick and Mernagh, doherty from Waterford should have got a chance.Again these squads dominated by dublin players.

In fairness, the premier division is dominated by Dublin teams.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

That still doesnt make it right. I named a few players, but i am sure, there is much more than them that deserve a chance. But it was the first thing i noticed when reading the squad that no one from clubs in munster.

No, I agree that it mightnt make it right (i have no idea about which U21 players merit a place) but it does follow some sort of logic.
