I'd say 400 is about right, shocking night weather wise, which impacted the attendance. I'd imagine it should be better for our next game.

Shamrock Rovers estimate was 1,800. Will correct as official figure comes in (although they haven't released an official attendance yet this season)

Possibly the weakest week yet attendance wise. Just under 9,000 people at 9 games. Obviously missing an extra Premier Division game, but still poor yet considering improving attendances in some grounds. 1,800 is probably one of the worst league attendances in Tallaght since the move there.

At this stage though, it's looking like most averages are exactly where they were expected to be, even at this early stage of the season.
It wasn't as low as 1800, extratime's estimates in tallaght are dreadful.

When we played Sligo in the 1-1 last season extratime estimated 3000 when nearly double that was there.

In fairness, they've been very kind to Rovers this season. 3,500, 4,000, 2,800 and now 1,800.

I would say 3,200 were at Drogheda and there was no chance half the crowd disappeared..

Other than Sligo and Limerick I don't see any other clubs improving on last years average.Shams budgeted last year for an average of 2,500, I would be surprised if they get over that this season .
If you look at the 24k in Croke Park today with probably 4 of the top 5 crowdpullers you get some idea of the effect that the lack of disposable income among the population is having on sports events.Even Thomond wasn't full last night.( possibly saving their money to see the mighty Bohs on Tuesday)

Our avg (after 4 games) is up just over 1,000 on last year.

Did you miss Dundalk, Athlone and Harps or just forget to type those too?

It's hard to know what's going on with Derrys attendances this season. There's been no official attendances given and there seems to be argument that there's much more people going than Extratimes estimates suggest.

I was referring to the Premier Div, and yes I should have included Dundalk .

Helped by having a better team this season. Dundalk were poor last year.

Totally agree, last year the fans weren't daft and knew the score after a month, that was effectively a FD side that was put together and damn lucky not to end up there.

Breath of fresh air this season, even leaving after the Derry defeat on Friday, losing 3-1 didn't seem to effect the mood, as fans on the way out were talking about ''still saw a decent game of football"

1216 the crowd at Richmond Park for visit of Shels, poor enough I think for a Dublin derby, but maybe weather the weather had some effect.

Monday night in the poor weather. Considering Pat's don't seem to have a huge fanbase, that's not too bad.

Looked like more, Monday night always takes a few hundred off the gate.

Why are you posting extratimes figure as if it's fact? Easily a couple of hundred more than that at the game. Shels brought the worst away Dublin Derby crowd to Richer that I can remember, maybe 250?

I'd say less than 200 tbh. Crowd of about 1,200 is right.

There looked more than 1,216 there. I would have said along the lines of 1,800.

And as a rule, don't take extratime's estimates as gospel. I wrote for them a bit, any non-official attendances are simply those of the reporter who doesn't necessarily know the ground better than any fan nor does he likely have the best view of the crowd from the press box.
