Unless the ground was packed, I'd doubt that one. Highly doubt it.

I remember being down there earlier on in the season with a large Harps travelling support of around 150-200, official attendance was 401 and we all laughed when hearing it.

Either way, it's the closest I've got to an attendance figure as I just put down 250.

Calling people trolls is never going to achieve anything. If somebody is wrong, just say so but throwing around names is only going to make things worse.

Just for those interested, Derry-Bluebell attendance was 800. It'll be even more pathetic come Tuesday's replay. 300 and we'd b doing well.

421 given as the attendance for last night's cup game but it was a lot more than that! 200 down from Drogheda and where I was sitting was packed so more like 600-700.

He has already said he thinks there were more then 400 Athlone fans or did you fail English in school?

Like he says the drop in crowd the next home game could very well suggest there were more then 400 Athlone fans.

The drop in crowd might suggest we were playing Salthill Devon or do you get the same crowd for UCD games as you do a local derby against Cork?

It could be that but i think its just as likely that Athlone had 100 or so more then 400 as it is that ye lost over 400 home fans in the space of a week.

Crowds fluctuating based on importance of and hype surrounding a match shocker.

I was at Thomond when there was 3k odd people v Cork, and then at the League Cup match v Waterford when there wasn't even 200 so the same carry on happens in Limerick, and everywhere else to some degree..

We used to get the crowd we did v Athlone last week, week in week out when in the PD or when we had a shot at winning cups, those same fans are the people who showed for the Athlone match but won't be seen again until there's another hugely important game or we're promoted.

Yeah there were a lot of heads there that hadn't been seen since we went down.
Upwards to the vanguard where the pressure is too high.

Its impossible that Athlone had more then 400 then?
