3,158 Sligo v Shels
3,158 Sligo v Shels
319 in Longford
Great crowd for Sligo. That must be a decent fraction of the population of Sligo town.
About 1 in 6, though a few do travel from as far as West Port.
We'd only get a decent crowd if we were playing Man U's youth team every second weekend.
I think I seen a figure of 1500 but ET gave 2800 For the Trampcamp.

Trophy Manager - online football managment game - I like it - I think I'm getting obsessed with it though.
The last time Limerick were in the premier division they had terrible crowds in a terrible ground ( Rathbane), there was bound to be a bump in their crowd on promotion after twenty years but I would very much doubt if they would have attracted 1,600-2,000 extra fans if they spent their first promoted season in Jackman.
As Shamrocks have shown, good facilities ( albeit someone elses facilities), novelty and some on field success draws the crowds in.
How to sustain those numbers when the novelty wears off and the success tapers off is going to be the challenge to both clubs.
What exactly are you basing that opinion on though? They haven't played in the division in 20 years and tey were getting ****e crowds back then
They were getting 500 a game until th latters tages of last season. No other clubs have seen their crowds treble upon promotion

Are really comparing attendances in the first and premier divisions?
Have you watched a lot of first division football and followed a team around that graveyard for years?
Limerick have a good squad and there is a good buzz in the city towards the team they are building.
If you want to think their attendances are due to architecture spotters, fine.
