Seems pretty accurate, does not seem to be much I would disagree with.

I just found this user review of Hoolahan funny for some reason, the "Feels clunky" " Very bad in this game but very good in real life" seemed amusing.

    Hoolanot Rating 6 / 10 | Position CAM | Formation 451 | Submitted by greenmanfly on 16 December

Hoolahan is not a player you want to buy. Hoolahan was playing in a 4-5-1 formation with 9 chemistry and he wasn't very good. Hoolahan has 4 star skills but they feel clunky (probably because the 2 star weak foot) and he isn't very good at dribbling. His passing is pretty poor and his through balls are woeful. He is extremely slow but he does have a nice shot (the lower shots seem to always go in) and he's always in the right place at the right time.
    Pros:
    Nice shot
    Great positioning
    4 star skills

    Cons:
    2 star weakfoot
    Bad passing
    Slow
    Bad dribbling
    Feels clunky

Save your coins and get a better player. IRL this player is very good but in this game I am not a fan.
He is a player that I would compare to Grant Holt : Very bad in this game but very good in real life.

Nothing new there, many on here rated McShane and Bruce higher than SSL.

I think SSL is an unsung hero of this Irish side to be honest.

Wasn't Star Weakfoot a porno actress? I think she did bad dribbling and felt clunky too, BTW.

I really don't know what more you want for St. Ledger? Or from Irish fans? He's very sung... most people I know rate him very highly for Ireland (myself included), had him in the top 3 players for us at the Euros (damned with faint praise), most wanted him in the squad and then the team years before he made it there (as a regular).

I really think you are imagining ill will for him here where there is none. You see every other defender as a threat to his place and therefore microanalyse and attack their ability whether warranted or not. It is your behaviour that leads to exasperation towards him/you not Sean or his overall performances in green. And we are just 50-100 posters on a message-board. Our opinion really means nothing. It is the opinions of his managers that matter. You're either his agent or family of his but you need to drop the defensive attitude.

    It's interesting stuff alright.
Who would have thought that Gibson has a sprint in him or that McGeady and Duff have a stronger shot than McClean,
or how McGeady hits the bell with mental aggression but Duff barely rates a whimper.

Am I missing something? It's a site about the game FIFA and the players on it? Not really relevant to our national team.
    There's a section to gaming elsewhere http://foot.ie/forums/72-Gaming

Yes!!!! You are missing something!!! You are missing this explanation of how it work!!

    http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/p...ppi-works.html

OK none of these things are perfect, everyone has their own opinion, but if you do not know a players
it is as good a guide as you will get. It seems to be broadly in line with what most people here think.

Basically it is compiled on measurable attributes of a player, although it does not say how they are measured.

But futhead has got nothing to do with the PPI? Futhead is about the game FIFA and the players in the game. If you think Trapattoni should be picking his squad based on how his players rate on a computer game then fair enough, otherwise this thread should be in gaming.

I'm shocked and saddened to discover that Gibson's sprint rating is merely a figment of a virtual reality
and I really did want to believe that McGeady had mastered the art of testosterone pumped, power shooting.

He is not picking them based on a computer game, the game is based on how the players play in real life hence he is picking them based
on their real play measurable attributes.

Gibson sprint speed is not particularly fast, one of the slowest for our 'gold' players. it's a average rather than fast speed at 70.
Again McGeady's shooting not particularly high, about the same as Doyle's I raised more of an eyebrow about his pace.
He is faster the Long apparently, but maybe I don't notice it so much as he relies more on his dribbling to go past people
where as long uses his pace more.
