Made me think of this lad:

But a least he has a lot more competitive football under his belt than Alan did at that age.
Not sure if there is a thread for him so I though I would start one.
Born 10 October 1991 (age 21).
Played today in the team which beat Spurs (along with Paul Green)
Main thing about him seem to be pace, seen him described as a sprinter not a footballer, which is perhaps not too bad a thing given we do not play much football
He has played 10 games for the u21's and scored one goal. Plays left-back/winger, played left-back today.
I suppose if he has more pace than footballing ability left back is a sensible position.
A few choice comments I found
I think Bale is considered the second fastest premiership player behind Theo Walcott. To say that spurs had their reserves out is a bit of a joke bale Lennon Parker akotto Dempsey and a few more and as for bale bless him switching sides because Aidy white had to much pace for him mot well done leeds and I wish spurs all the luck in the prem as they are one of the only honest clubs up there

Good god, not another new thread about this guy.
AH yes, just found the other two
Perhaps they can be merger into one humongous thread.
Apparently there is a brand of cider named after him - White Lightening.
Looks a bit like Dolph Lundgren.
No Somos muchos pero estamos locos.
Didn't see much of him in the ITV highlights, but I did notice Bale's cross for the Spurs goal came from Ireland's Brave Paul Green's wing.
Maybe he should declare for Colombia?
And what is that patch by the way? Looks like a Mushroom about to take off. Skustu is going to have flashbacks from the Dead concerts he went to in the 1970s.

No id didn't much of him either, I quoted someone saying Bale switched sides to avoid him but as I understand it, Bale normally plays
on the left so I assume perhaps that was a joke? It's Lennon who normally plays on the right isn't it.
A bit here from Warnock. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21222824
Bale and Lennon were kept quiet by Leeds' pair of young full-backs Sam Byram, 19, and Aidy White, 21.
"I thought Aidy and Sam got done occasionally, but they've learned so much today against top-class opposition," Warnock added.
"It's not very often that Lennon has as an ineffective game as he did today, and we handled Gareth well too."
Bale and Lennon started on the opposite sides. Bale was on the right in the first half, one perfect example he knocked it past White but couldn't out pace him so pushed him in the back and conceded a free. White wasn't particularly influential in the game but his pace definitely helped Leeds defending against Bale and Lennon.
Tallaght Stadium Regular
Yes just been watching some of the first halve and came here to correct my self but you beat me to it!!!
Not seen much from White so far, lost the ball to Lennon and then showed some pace chasing him back to help win the ball back.
Seen the bit where Bale pushed him in the back probably bit frustrated his pace is ineffective against White.
I'd say White probably did influence the game, he prevented Spurs even trying using their pace on that wing because they knew it was unlikely to work. He effectively removed one of Spurs biggest threats just by being on the pitch. I don't see why he could not a similar job for Ireland.
