Got the fixtures, but we've no senior players and I've absolutely no idea who is running the club!!!

LOL thats true actually, hill has said most of the U19s will make up the senior team, and hes trying to get a few MSL players to come on-board also, amateur signings have to be done by the 31st of January, which is why ramblers asked for an early answer from the licensing committee, the team is fairly young so well need a few old heads to balance it out,

the U19s league doesn't finnish till the 16th of march i heard, so it could be a rough start to the season for anyone playing in the U19 squad,

it would be nice if someone from the club would release a statement to the fans about where they stand at the moment, im getting all my information from articles,

Thanks DR, hoping Davin might come back and I guess we'll see a couple of City youngsters in on loan.

Any thoughts on other potential signings? Who of the old bridage is still out there and maybe willing to give it a go?

yeah davin left city i heard, but it was more to do with the fact he had a few injuries last year, it would be great even to have him around for the younger fellas, i honestly have no idea who would be available or willing to come back, its been a few years so there is bound to be bunch of new players around that would be interested in playing, the big problem will be that they wont be getting paid, so that will limit who we can get,

though being fair the the U19s players that played for us in the A League for 2 seasons they done a fine job and it was things behind the scene that kept us out LOI football, i see no reason they why dont deserve a shot in the first division, they would be early 20s now,

    interesting times

Carey must be due his pension by now!! Guthrie would be a good signing, I'd like to see 3 or 4 experienced heads like him as a spine for the team.

Hello all decided to join Foot.ie with the great news that Ramblers are back in the LOI. Delighted for everyone who made it happen and buzzing to see and support the new era of League of Ireland football in Cobh. Hope to be on here for years to come with Ramblers being a part of the LOI.

I know it will be a tough season football wise but be great to see the new breed of u19s mixed with a few of the former young guns who are now experienced and will finally have a chance to be major players for the club. Great to hear Davin being linked with the club as he is a proven premier division player, all positives for rams at the moment even if we dont manage to capture 'The Dav.'

Its great to know that we have LOI football back in Cobh, but how many of the players that have been mention are willing to play for nothing.

I presume last time round in the A league the players weren't being paid. So the players mentioned above bar Davin have already played with rams without being paid. I dunno about there other commitments but the likes of John Meade playin with Wanderers, Micky O Shea with struggling Mayfield, think Martin Deady is finished college in Limerick now an livin back in Cobh would surely give LOI a go if they played A-champ for free. Those 3 would be realistic targets for the rams. Think it'll be hard to lure Conor Meade away from Avondale with the success there havin.

I think a number of former players were waiting on the license decision before they were going to sign, I know midleton's team expect to lose a number of their players.

The last I heard he was managing or coaching crosshaven. Dunno is that still the case but he'd be a very experienced signing, something we'll need this year to help the younger lads

Greg is player manager with Msl second division side Crosshaven his home town club, won't be signing for cobh due to work commitments, spoke with Martin Deady last week and he is resigning with cobh.
