I got sent an email a few days ago from Abbey Travel about a day trip. They probably have them on their website.

Talk of getting an 18k allocation for Wembley

ST Holders and 'known' away supporters were invited to register their interest on the FAI portal www.fai.ie/away/

If you havent got a login, Im sure an email to the FAI could get you sorted.
I thought you were off the drink Ronnie?

I think you are on their no fly list Fixer. You should take their silence as goodbye.

Minimum price €60/£52 admission (currently) for Irish fans. Up to €90 for a friendly. I kid you not.

Blame an FAI even greedy/stupid & incompetent than ours.

I wonder what Trap's senior charges both active and (temporarily) retired would say to him if he said to them he was resting them for this meaningless friendly in order to give youth its fling?!

Given the amount of club football most of them still play, "Thanks" probably...

That site says kick-off is at 12AM...

Surely can't be right for a Wednesday game, but is 12AM actually mid-day or mid-night?

Midnight. A default time no doubt until the real time is confirmed.

Ante meridiem means before mid-day, so 12AM would be the midnight prior, or the 12 before mid-day that day, whilst post meridiem refers to after mid-day, so 12PM would, erm, also be midnight, but the midnight crossing over into the following day?

    If you say so

    10am 11am 12pm 1pm or 10am 11am 12am 1 pm
    which sounds more obvious?

The latter obviously, but, literally-speaking, it doesn't really make a huge deal of sense in that there doesn't appear to be any way to denoting 12:00 mid-day by using "AM" or "PM".

The main problem is that I think you have to register with The FA? Which seems a bit odd and arrogant even for an organisation as detached as them...

And the KO is a default time, would suggest an 'early' KO as the local cops won't want thousands of drunken football fans milling round later in the day, especially given the potential for trouble.

That would be, if you had a hang up about denoting midday.

Neither "AM" nor "PM" can logically refer to mid-day though in that ante refers to before, post refers to after and meridiem refers to mid-day itself. Maybe "12M" would be apt.
