I am really curious as to what your avarergae home crowd is? Its obviously difficult to complete once you are a college for the locals support - would it be 1000?
The Drogs have now 15 buses from around the town coming tonight (I am finding this hard to beleive but that is the report) and considering most of us work in Dublin (damn government) most are going by car etc so we plan on having quite a large crowd tonight. Our Supporters club usually runs one bus to dub matches (as I said many work in Dublin) but already we have 3 full buses.
Suggestion if anyone from your club is reading this - open those gates early and have penlty of staff selling ticksts and operating the turnstiles.

in fairness that is pretty good giving it is a college - most go home at weekends etc.
Our usual crowd this year has been about 300. There have been very few away fans at most games so the vast majority of that is home fans, between 250 and 280 probably. Our home support is usually underestimated at big matches where there are lots of away fans (against Dublin teams mostly) as the silent masses are usually assumed to be entirely away fans whereas a reasonable percentage (still a minority obviously) would be home fans.
Gates usually open about 45 mins before kick-off, I doubt there'd be too many there any earlier than that, would there?
We're not arrogant, we're just better.
if we are bringing 15 buses (big if) what are the parking arrangements - the carpark is quite small at the ground? are cars ever allowed to park on that green area between the car park and the stiles? what about outside the gate - it that a parking street or is it a clamping zone !!!!
Last time i was in Belfield was fore their game Vs. Cobh, about a month or so ago ? and they had the Car Park Closed off fully, not sure if it's reopened yet ? Parking alonmg the side of the road up on the grass verge is safe and the Gaurds wont give ya tickets or anythingOriginally Posted by SeanDrog
The car park is open again, I think they were fixing the road in or something. There's usually cars parked on Foster's Avenue before matches so I assume that's OK. If the car park's full, there's another car park inside the main college gate, about 5-10 mins walk from the ground. You can't park on the 'green area', that's a pitch!

For parking enter UCD through the main (Stillorgan Road) Gate and the car park is immediatley inside on the left. The soccer ground is signposted from their and is about a 500 yard walk. The car park beside the ground is for officials only and for big games the guards won't allow any parking on Fosters Avenue.
You needent worry too much about parking though, the college is closed for the summer and there are about 3,000 mostly empty spaces here.
