Would he have options back in Ireland hopefully ?

His brother is at sligo I think
As I understand it, he has been told his contract won't be renewed. But that situation could easily change if Zola is sacked by Birmingham before the end of the season.
He's still at the club for now: https://www.instagram.com/p/BR_upHqBzUl/
You'd have to ask serious questions about a club that sack Gary Rowett but refuse to do the same for Zola.
Just found out where Baba has ended up: he joined Macclesfield back in July - bit of a drop but he's getting first-team football and got his first goal with a 35-yarder against Wrexham, following it up with a properly impressive cartwheel and somersault (we've got to give him a couple of caps so he can do it at the Aviva). And anyway, he's not yet 21 and sure Conor Hourihane was playing only one level higher until he was 23. Seems to have moved up to midfield based on where he tended to pop up in this highlights package:
Fair play to him for stopping the spiral and getting in an eleven, not much room for frills down there either considering his path up to now, all credit. A long way back to the international radar leagues but all the best to him
Was getting worried about him as he hadn't been playing recently (only an FA Cup appearance since mid-September) but he returned to Macclesfield's first eleven today and played the full game: http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/42475753. With Macclesfield six points clear at the top of the National League, a run of good form could give him a clear path to EFL football.
Baba has signed for Waterford FC along with Dessie Hutchinson.

Has signed for Fortuna Koln, who were relegated from Bundesliga 3 last season (the German equivalent of League 1).
We had some fella playing for Fortuna something or other in the 80s I think . His name escapes me .
your thinking of Noel Campbell the first Irishman to play in the German topflight and it was actually in the 1970's https://www.balls.ie/football/irishm...desliga-401384
Hadn't realised he was already in Germany. From what I can see, he's going from a team promoted to the fourth tier to a team demoted to the fourth tier. How bad.
As can be seen by reading back through this thread Noe was, a decade or so ago, considered to be arguably the biggest youth prospect in Irish football. Many would have thought back than that, if there was a crucial World Cup qualifier being played in late 2025, it was likely that he would be involved in it as he should now be at the peak of his professional career.
However over the course of the past season he instead lost his starting place at Athlone Town, who were cut adrift at the bottom of the first division. Judging by his socials he looks to be done with professional football at 29 and appears to have taken a job at Dublin Airport. Usually when there's such a big drop off from what was expected of a player injuries or a poor attitude tend to be a factor. But, to the best of my knowledge, neither was a particular issue for Noe during his career. While not every player reaches the potential levels that they were predicted to reach, Noe's seems to be a particularly severe and unexplained falloff relative to where we hoped he would end up.
A fine player. He played at least 2 years above his age group for the national side an unbelievable achievement. Was physically developed at a young age which helped and he very grew taller so lacked the height at say 21 that yiu would have expected maybe when he was 16 when he liiked like centre half woukd be his position. Professional spirt is very tough and even when yiu do everything right yiu still have to be so lucky to be a Professional
