The FAI has elected a new honorary secretary in succession to Kevin Fahy who was recently ousted from the post.
Michael Cody was unopposed for the position at a special meeting of the association's National Council today.

Mr. Cody who has represented Cobh Ramblers on the council since the club became members of the eircom League in 1985 was proposed by the Munster Football Association and seconded by Monaghan United Football Club.

He is currently chairman of the Legal and Corporate Affairs Standing Committee and is a former general manager of FBD Insurance Ltd.
