World Champions ..and we didnt even know it!!

Think of the celebrations had we known!!!

Apparantly we were the Unofficial Champions of the World for 2 months earlier this year when we beat reigning world champions Czech Republic.

Confused?

Well if you take it that Uruguay won the first world cup in 1930 to be crowned champions and then say Brazil beat them in a friendly then you could argue Brazil are the champions of the world ...ala Boxing.

Working from 1930 on it brought us nicely to when we became World champions earlier this year. Unfortunately we lost out when Nigeria beat us.

For the record Angola are the current Unofficial Champions of the World.

This site actually starts its championship from the very first international game played between England and Scotland back in the 1800's so hence their high rankings. Whether you start there or in 1930 it still works out the same.
