All very quiet tonight lads. Any reports from tonight's games. Can't believe games went ahead to be honest. We trained in the conditions and it was tough. Couldn't imagine being able to play good football in that.

Could be pushing into June I'd say Oldlegs. The weather this week is honestly worst than Winter.

We have 10 league games left and a semi final on sat and the possibility of a final aswell (hopefully) AUL get it wrong every year, blaming the weather this year is well and good But I remember 2 years ago when I was with Blarney St we were waiting on Kinsale 3 weeks after we played our 2nd last league game.

10 days is better than having to play 3 games in 8 days. A lot of teams who are enjoying successful seasons to date will be faced with this

Lads, for the day that's in it, do people think the AUL should have a player of the year award voted by the captains and managers of opposing teams. From Premier, Div 1, 2 and 3? It's nice to be recognised by your opponents and peers, Just a thought!

Be a great idea but couldn't see it working tho as the biased points of views in Cork football would ruin it in my opinion.

Be like the Eurovision bloc voting !!!!! Great idea but would involve a bit of work !!!! Unless it was done by managers etc coming together can't see Aul doing it off their backs .

4 awards, you can't vote for your own player. Should be easy enough

Team of the year was done a few years back by Billy Lyons. There was no award just recognition in the echo. I asked Billy a couple of years back how he went about compiling it. What he did was contact each secretary and asked them to discuss with the manager/captain/players to name 3 players they played against that season who stood out. He had a lot of responses like "the ginger right back at X club", then Billy rang that club and found out the name of the ginger right back. We could probably organise it between ourselves here. I will volunteer to look after a section no bother. Obviously not my own section as there would be questions asked of any Leeview players in it. What ye think lads, any other volunteers to take sections?

Who are we going to get to sponsor the awards ??? Just throwing that out there if anyone would like or know or sponsor pm dixie myself or leftside .. Or would a phone call to Murphys do the trick and can be given out at awards night ?? Or would that be stepping on Aul's toes ?

We'll find it hard to get anyone to sponsor that amount of awards but ill try around anyway.
