Just heard Clare won 3-1..
Just heard Clare won 3-1..
Just heard cork had one sent off ? Disgraceful carry only gettin second hand info so could someone let me no I don't think the player mentioned would be like that
Just heard from someone else it was 4-1 both had a man sent off
Did Clare have a man sent off too
Was it on grass or the astro
Who would you put in charge hubba's? Both challenges were probably yellows. It was the reaction afterwards that was stupid and out of line. Already had the red when he threw the ball hubba. Don't think cork players really showed up. Even though they had long periods of possession they never really troubled the goal 1st half. Clare were happy to soak up the pressure and catch the aul on the counter which they did to great effect. Keeper hesitated for the goals in my opinion. Came and stopped when he should have just came. Saying that you cant really blame him. Howie wasted out wide. Thought park lads were poor. That's not a dig but they were off form. Mark was very quiet by his usual high standards as was John. Clare were physical and organised. They deserved the win. Second goal at stroke of half time finished the aul. These are just my opinions of today's showing. Astro didn't suit the aul either. Were too loose all over the pitch.

Hard luck to the Cork lads & Donal. I think it was a case of the "big boys" not showing up today. In terms of needing a change of management don't be so stupid, this is the first year in a long time when there was a bit of a buzz about the Oscar team. Donal deserves another crack at it, the fact Turners Cross wasn't available definitely hindered the team. That surface in Douglas Hall doesn't suit the ball style that Donal wanted the lads to play. Was kind of sickening to watch our lads play on that when the pitch behind us had a school girls game on it. Why not switch the AUL game to the grass, I feel it could have been a closer game. Kearney blotted his copy book but let's not get carried away here on him. He didn' hurl or slam the ball into the dugout, he picked it up with the intentions of hurling it in but he thought better of it and barely threw it. My 6 year old nephew would have threw it harder. Unlucky boys draw a line under it and look to next year.
I disagree. I don't think you can ever get "used" to it. It's a difficult surface. Any bit of wind (which is always there) and you're not catching that ball. I'm not making excuses the Clare team were the better team on the day but on grass we stood a better chance!
Lads cork have a few Astro pitches that teams play on Clare have none so to say the pitch favored Clare is a joke. Congrats to Clare and I hope the go on and beat whoever the play next
I don't think anybody here mentioned the astro "favoured" Clare so stop looking for an argument. I said the astro is a poor surface & grass would have seen a better game.
that player is a top player buddy i respect him big time and all his team mates on aul and kilumney team would say the same he is class ok what happened was stupid but there were comments came from the dug out and it was like that all day .as for donal he did a good job he will be a lot better next year for it .over all better team won to slow a start.
Lads, I've had it confirmed that Kearney will not be suspended for his next or any club game. He would have been suspended for the next Oscar game so that will be next year if he's selected.
