could be a cracking tie between us and rovers looking forward to both games now.. semi finals should be more evenly contested
In fairness, the ref was giving soft frees to both sides. And as for Doherty, he always takes an eternity for goal kicks, even if we're losing. It's not time-wasting, he just likes taking his time.
Decent enough game. Gutted losing like that, but sure that's the way it goes sometimes. Thought we played alright, and it wouldn't have been all that noticeable that we were a man down for the second half.
Wasn't as impressed with Drogs last night as I was last week though. Thought they looked more fulid going forward at the Brandywell.
Awful penalty too.
Just a quick mention on the weather. Simply the coldest game I've ever been at.
It was a definite sending off anyhow and while I didn't have a great view of the pen, the Derry players wern't complaining much.
Was always going to be tough after McBride went off, Drogs were all over us in the last ten. We looked out on our feet.
As Brendy says - not sure how many live sporting events I've been too at this point, but last night was hands down the coldest. Absolutely ridiculous.

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
Our 4th successive Setanta semi final (a setanta cup record apparently). Hopefully it's 4th time lucky on making it to a final this year ...![]()
Manager: Fergal, have you your boots with ya?
Fergal: Ya, I have them here.
Manager: Ah good stuff, well give them to this man so, he forgot his!
Our game vs Rovers will be shown live on Setanta.
http://www.corkcityfc.ie/home/2013/0...-be-televised/The first leg of Cork City’s Setanta Sports Cup semi final against Shamrock Rovers is to be televised.
The first leg, which will be played on Tuesday, April 16, will now kick off at the slightly earlier time of 7.30 pm.
The second leg will take place at Turner’s Cross on Monday, April 22.
There will be additional assistant refs behind either goal at Rovers vs Cork City next week....
Additional Assistant Referees will be introduced for the first time in domestic competition next week when two extra match officials will be involved in the Setanta Sports Cup semi-finals.
Following several years of trials by UEFA at different levels of the game, from an U19 mini-tournament in October 2008 to last summer’s Euro 2012 Finals, the International Football Association Board finally gave the green light to confederations and national associations to use Additional Assistant Referees (AAR) in their competitions by providing for them in the most recent edition of the Laws of the Game.
Following a joint proposal from the Referee Departments of the IFA and FAI, the Setanta Sports Cup Tournament Committee agreed to the introduction of Additional Assistant Referees for the semi-finals and final of this year’s competition.

money... money... money...
Tough one for us tonight with alot of players out.. think we will still give them a good game and would happily take a draw
Must say Setanta's coverage is very thorough. Refreshing from the usual 5 minutes analysis on RTE.
Not entirely looking forward to this as I suspect we could take a tonking... touch wood!
New vipbox layout is a bit nuts, at the moment I can hear stream of game but not see it . . .
Super strike from Kavanagh, easy to see he's our most talented player.
