Who was the last town player to get a hattrick?

After reading the eircom league annual from three years ago, the last league hatrrcik from a town player was Declan Hardy in 11/95 versus Monaghan Utd!

just wondering has there being any town players that has got a hattrick in any cups since then?

doubt it but i could be wrong!#

what a pleasure to see the hatrick! the first time I can ever rem a LTFC player score a hattrick!

    Good man Dessie!
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

Butch is right. Declan Hardy banged in 3 against Monaghan Utd. John Cleary was in charge at the time with Joey Malone being his assistant. Dax Kealy was captain and i think Jacko Smith may have been in goals. We also had such greats as Sean Elebert, Steffan Buttner & Michael O' Brien ( Liam's Bro ). I think i would be right in saying that Steffan Buttner scored 2 goals against Drogs in the cup that year to beat them 2 - 0 so the Drogs fans lit a little fire in the Stand which seperated the 2 pitches. We then played them at home the following week and drew 1 -1 with them with Seanie Elebert lobbing the Drogs keeper from about 35 yards. What was unique about this game was that for the 1st time in Mulollogher the team was cheered on to the pitch at the beginning of the match following the fine result the previous week.I think Avondale knocked us out of the next round but it was a good day on the batter. All of the above i am trying to drag out of my distorted memory but all of the above are actual events that occured they may just be jumbled up.

I don't think i remember Colm Seville but my head is so fcuked these days i'm not surprised. I played with the youths back then ( a very succesful side i might add ) so i got a lot of run outs with the B team. Trained with the 1st team a few times so i got to know a few of them including Deco. I also socialised with them on numerous occasions and once had the pleasure of dining out in Xtra Burger with them.Ahhhhh happy days.

No-one got a hat-trick in the promotion year..Parsons and Keith O'Connor both came close.Richie Parsons was the first town player to get a hat-trick,that came in his first season with the club in 92 against St.James' Gate,I think.

that actually sound right! i know for a fact that noone got a hatrick in 1999/00 season. But i rem92/93 season that Richie Parsons scored a huge amount of goals that season and got the golden boot for top divison one scorer that season! so i think you are right there!

Well it's like this sonic. I have been following the Town since i came to Longford which is about 17 years or so now.Granted i wasn't at every game but i have been following them.I went to my 1st away game in Utd Park in Drogheda when i was 11 and i went on the team bus.( it's all about who you know ) and no Utd Park hasn't changed a bit since.I remember being let off school early to go to Abbeycartron to watch the cup 1/4 final against Athlone town.I could go on & on but i won't but for your information all of my LTFC experiences have been obtained 1st hand and not from a book.

The original question was scorers of hatricks in any cups. When we won the U21 cup a few years ago Adrian Murphy scored 3 against Derry in the quarter final and 4 against Waterford in the semi. He did badly in the final only netting 2.
