Probably the filthiest player in the history of the league.

Alan Reynolds wasnt liked when he played for us either. His disciplinary record in his season with us was shocking. I think he got sent off four times in the 01/02 season and his last game for us was in the promotion/relegation playoff in ballybofey against harps and surprise surprise he got sent off.
Stephen Kenny signed him for us. I had actually forgotten he was at Derry for a short while in Stephen Kennys first spell. Was this after he managed Waterford Utd? I wish him the best of luck as he was highly regarded in Tramore.
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?

Over what period? Tom McNulty who won two league titles with Dundalk was possibly the hardest player I saw in my time.
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), first Irish club to win points in a group stage in Europe (2016).

I had the privilege of playing with Tom (mc nulty)at the end of his career..stamping in an 18 year olds toes, two footing a youth team player and thumping a ref among his antics.DFC legend

Mc Nulty, Keely, Noel King,Trapper Tracey were no angels but Reynolds targetting of young players on the pitch was truly shocking.Filthy player.

Not everyone hated Paul Osam or Kevin Hunt and they were really, really good.

Reynolds was a good player, but he's hated because he was a complete and utter scumbag on the pitch

If by 'good' you mean utter scumbag then deffo. I have seen many hard/tough/dirty players in the LOI but Reynolds was an utter scumbag.A nasty evil player that brought nothing good to the game.

You wouldn't catch Hitler throwing out a sly elbow when he was jostling to get under a floated corner.

Very hard to compare in fairness, they were totally different. Reynolds played in the middle while Hitler was more of a right winger.

"Reynolds sent for early shower" would have had a very different meaning in this parallel universe!

Was this not meant to be a rumours section. Not an Alan Reynolds discussion thread. Gone a bit off topic

Hitler - started right wing early on but ended up his career playing as last man in a dodgy defence.

With Sean O'Driscoll sacked by Nottingham Forest today, will that affect the moves for Stephen McLaughlin and Barry McNamee and the link up with the club?
