Was it an awards dinner you were at or an Alfred Hitchcock film?

Can't see him coming back to the LoI. Afaik, he earned more in a month at Persepolis than he did in as year at the Brandy.
He had a trial a while in Brunei as well. I'd say he'd have a few options in Asia yet.

Griff has ambitions on a move to the UK, and as White Horse has pointed out, his focus for next season is on where he can develop and catch the eye best to faciliate this possible move.

Stephen Kenny has already spoken to him to outline why he thinks staying at Oriel Pk is in his best interests.
its 60 working days. Which is funny, cos Waterford think its 60 days and apparently only offered their deal to young Seani Maguire 60 days and not 60 working days in advance.

has to be sent by registered post too I think as well.

Its funny cos they made a similar mistake last year with Kevin Burns.

Yeah it sounds very mysterious I know but nothing was said outright, and as you can tell from the time of the post it was a late one! Just from a few different conversations I had and a few things the chairman said it seems there'll be a new money man on the scene. Well he's not new to the club but he's apparently getting more involved. He's a seriously wealthy individual.

Well, was Munnely ever technically a director before? from what I've heard during last season, he has been looking to up his involvement quite a lot.
Regardless of who it is anyway sounds like the future looks alright, just need to hope Tony gets to grips with the virtues of any tactic other than play lads out of position and hoof to them.

No he was never a director. Your sources would appear to be correct but like I said nothing was confirmed outright so we'll have to see what happens.

I'd be surprised if hes playing in the LOI next year, even more surprised if hes in Cork.

Don't worry K2W, Athlone fell for that one, Longford escaped the last time :-)

Yeah would be surprised also. Don't see any harm in him getting a bit of premier experience before heading over either. Especially if he is going to be playing reserves over in England.

Nah, just Sheikh Mansour wealthy. In all seriousness though I believe he's a multi millionaire. Now that's not to say he'd be throwing extraordinary amounts in but by the sounds of things there will be a few quid extra to spend.

Harps board and Chairman putting pressure on the management team to deliver next year. All at Harps are pushing for a serious shot at promotion. Pre-season training in swing already, strength and conditioning coaching with the same lads who worked on the Donegal GAA team this season.

Peter Hutton looking forward to next season and hopes to add 2 or 3 strong players to the squad sooner rather than later.

All the players seem well up for it and confidence in the camp is high. Kevin McHugh also says he has a few years left in him yet.

Also if reports are true, Harps could be set for a little cash injection with an impending move to England for Stephen McLaughlin which would help greatly with squad strengthening.

Stephen Kenny and a few Derry lads also got their fair share of stick last night at the Kevin McHugh testimonial dinner.

Spill the beans! From the noises emanating from Athlone, Longford and Harps, it sounds like the First Division is going to be pretty competitive next season.

How can any Harps fan give stick to Kenny and Derry City players with Harps lack of success since 1985, & especially their record against DCFC. Thought it would be the other way around

You mean the old extinct Derry that no longer exists? Oh right.

Few of the lads gave him stick for losing money on bets placed on Shamrock Rovers and such things. And generally just for being a Derry manager.

By the sounds of things, the First Division could be very competitive indeed this season.

Kenny doesn't miss a trick, trying to convince one of our lads to leave the club ha. Lucky our lad is well up for staying at Harps.

Got to admit, top man and he's football through and through, really hope it works out for him at Dundalk.

Best moment of the night was a very drunken Harps fan giving him serious stick for costing him a bomb over the season with Rovers letting him down on a load of accumulators.
