Interesting to see peoples thoughts on the following:
Player of the Year: Rory Gaffney
Young Player of the Year: Dave O'Leary
Goal of the Year: Garbhan Coughlan against Bray in the EA Sports Cup, 25 yards outside of the boot to top corner
Save of the Year:
Best Home Game: Limerick vs Longford second game 0-0 but excellent performance
Best Away Day: Longford away second last game, 200 traveling, great support and the celebrations
Worst Home Game: Waterford both times
Worst Away Game: Waterford both times
Best Opposition Player: Seanie Maguire
Surprise of the Year: James McGrath, looks like he could develop into a nice player
Disappointment of the Year: Shane Guthrie, for the size of the guy he doesn't it well and isn't as physical as I thought
Performance of the Year: Stephen Bradley vs Wexford Youths First game away to them
Unsung Hero: Joe Gamble, put in a lot of donkey work and really got stuck in when it was needed
Anybody anything else that could be added?
Player of the Year: Shane Tracy
Young Player of the Year: Dave O'Leary
Goal of the Year: Sean Brosnans v Athlone not quality wise obviously
Save of the Year: Barry Ryans penalty save against Salthill
Best Home Game: Limerick vs Longford best we played at home this season
Best Away Day: Longford away cos we went there as Champions
Worst Home Game: Waterford (The first one)
Worst Away Game: Same as above
Best Opposition Player: Seani Maguire
Surprise of the Year: James McGrath and Corie Treacy, James because i knew nothing about him and he did very well, Corie because he has been far better then i thought he would be.
Disappointment of the Year: Shane Guthrie and Derek O Brien. Shane for same reasons and Derek because he was injured far too much.
Performance of the Year: Denis Behan the first away game v Longford
