    Talking Que Sera Sera

For the first time in fourteen years we'll be able to resurect the Horendous Terrance Chant:

    Altogther now.....

    Que Sera Sera,
    Whatever will be will be,
    Were going to Germany
    Que Sera Sera.

    Ah the memories.

A new campaign - A time for new chants methinks. Our "Best of" album is not looking great at the moment with

    1. Keano, Keano, Keano, Keano
    2. Ireland, Ireland, Ireland, Ireland
    3. Ole Ole Ole Ole

Scary when you see it in print. Any suggestions on a few melodies to carry us through to Germany 2006. Time to resurrect a few old classics perhaps?

the problem with the crowd at Lansdowne is that most of em only ever watch football on TV

generally any Cetic or Man united song will do cause they've heard it off the tele

In the wake of the dismal support on Saturday Im resurecting this thread...Does anyone want to be a leader of the new generation of Irish Chants and post your brand new lyrics here for all posterity...You could be famous. And sure what harm could it do. Who knows...we might create a non-FAIreland sponsored athmosphere.....

To the Beatles 'all you need is Love'...

All you need is Duff (la la la la la (optional ) X3
All you need is Duff, Duff
    Duff is all you need

I've seen this offered by a few people in the past, and it's perfect IMO.

'Stand up for the Boys in Green' worked very well on Saturday

and if any City fan wouldn't mind inserting 'Boys In Green' for 'Cork City' in 'Carefree' I think that'd work too.

BTW, the guy that started 'you'll never beat the Irish' NO, NO an NO!

Agreed. I think that started when everyone was leaving the ground in Sardinia in 1990. Us and the hordes of English NF heads were leaving via the same exits, separated by a wire fence.

You'll never beat the Irish was sung spontaneously to rub their noses in it and it should be saved for when it's appropriate. Singing it all the time (i.e., out of context) is wrong and is from the George Hamilton school of inviting the opposition to score.

Worked at maybe 3rd or 4th attempt though. East & West stand people too lazy to get off their seats for a few seconds.

to the tue of the Joy Division song, Love will tear you apart,

When i was in HOlland a girl had the chat of

    Ohh Robbie Robbie
You do the robbie robbie and you score a goal

to the tune of the Okey Kokey, (not sure of the spelling there)

I found it very amusing after a few beeers

How about to the tune of the Fields of Athenry.

    Oh, We're Going to Germany
Where we once watched Ray Houghton beat Ingerland
We'll all travel in vans down the broad autobahns
To see Glory round the fields of Germany.

Apologies, I was a bit naughty with that one. No offence meant and I hope no offence taken.

Ah but we also get the chance to bring back:
"We are the boys in green
    the best you've ever seen
    we've just made history
    we're off to Germany".

Still got the vinyl 7" (no sniggers from you young folk).

Oh, God, that forced Mexican wave was possibly the most sickening thing I've even had to watch. If we don't generate an atmosphere spontaneously, all the Mexican waves, free footballs and remixes of the Fields of Athenry aren't going to make a difference.

For Robbie sung to Black Velvet Band)
His boots they shone like the diamonds
You'd think he was king of the land
His socks pulls over his shoulder
Tied up in a black velvet band
    KEANO KEANO KEANO KEANO lol

For Steven Reid (Sung to the Gypsy Rover)

Steven Reid came over the hill.
    Down through Lansdowne so shady,
He dribbled and he ran, through defenses and,
And he won the heart of Kerrs Army.

    Chorus:
    Ah-de-do, ah-de-do-da-day,
    Ah-de-do, ah-de-da-ay
He dribbled and he ran, through defenses and,
And he won the heart of Kerrs Army.
