I'd have said the opposite. Derry had the crappy end well populated, the lower tier from one goal the whole way to the half way line and some people in the stand behind the dugouts, then people scattered about in the premium level. From where I was sitting it looked like Pats mainly filled part of the lower tier of the South Stand and maybe behind the Pats dugout, hard to see and then scattered from there.

There were Pats and Derry fans in both east and west stands

My guess is that Pats had slightly more support, but close to 50/50 anyway. One thing I noticed was that Pats had more kids/family supporters than Derry, could the distance to travel be the reason for this ? Hope it leads to a few more regulars at Inchore for them. Again great credit to both sets of fans for the atmosphere they created, better that what 80k did at the All-Irelands this year which I was at. Ref had a very good game as well. Programme was rip-off (still bought one) and so was food and drink which I did not purchase but expensive for those with children.

Congratulations to Declan Devine and Derry City and commiserations to St Pats. Really wished on a St Pats win finally. Great second half and great advert for the league. I thought Richard Sadlier was spot on at half time saying if somebody is tuning in for the first time and they base the league on the first half showing then its unfair and untrue. The second shoed two sides who played with a lot less nerve of the occasion giving us the mini classic it provided.

Well done Derry, unlucky Pats. Three set pieces and two mistakes = 5 goals. But all in all a good game. as for the orginisation of the game. CRAP programme for a €5 total ****t. €6:30 for a burger and bun, €3:50 for a packet of wine gums ffs. Total lack of respect shown to fans on our side of the stadium with the second level of the stadium left in total darkness. Pre match atmosphere drowned out by rubbish music and dublin 4 toff spouting rubbish. Goals met with music thus drowning out crowd noise. Pitch of the year award at half time

Was that lower west? That fella was a pure mad man, more interested in rovers than he was pats .....At least he got his wish.. ....Rovers not in Europe Haha.

Definitely Lansdowne. I'd have the match in Tolka or Flancare over Tallaght. Really starting to dislike that ground, though can't put my finger on why. Awful location as well, no pubs around.

There is a pub literally 200 yards away and around 5 more within five minutes walk.

Crowd was at least 60/40 in favour of Pats, maybe a little bit more.

Would fans prefer a packed Tallaght to an empty Aviva?? There's arguments both ways I suppose.

Absolutely gutted after yesterday, as you can imagine. Really thought when we snatched the last gasp equaliser that it was going to be our day (finally). Thought we played some good stuff, but our failing this year has not been turning dominance of possession into victories. Came back to haunt us again. Couldn't stay to watch the celebration,just too horrible. That's four losing cup finals I've supported Pats at. It's starting to get very boring now. Yet each time, we think it'll be different. I think it was Basil Fawlty who once said "It's not the despair, I can handle the despair, it's the hope i can't stand."

Aviva clearly the best option, no question. From being at the game yesterday, seemed 50/50 Derry and Pats fans. But 16,000 attendance way down on previous two finals.
