The Team of 1977
Just a thought, it would be good idea for the opening game of the 2013 to try and have the league winning team of 1977 (that was the last year wasn't it) to walk on the pitch as well. Having both league winning teams on show for Sligo Rovers fans to celebrate would be great.

The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
Rovers are hoping to have as many of the 1977 team as possible there for the Shams game plus family of the 1937 team. Will be something similiar I would say to what Man City did for their league win.
Fair play, that's the way to do it alright.
