Because he earns more points on the things they award point to.
You have to look in more detain he does better on assists key passes and tackles.

Is there a weighing system for each category ie is an assist valued more than an aerial dual?

Well there must be some sort of weighting system although I have no idea what it is.
Well.. I have some idea, I am pretty sure goals and assist are weighted more highly than wining an aerial dual.
Man of the match carries a high weighting it seems however hardly surprising because that goes to goal scorers
and assist makers and high passing percentages.
No system is perfect, there are bound to be anomalies, for example Man City only have one player in the top 20
(man u have 3). But then they have 4 in the next 20 and Man u only 2. So it does seem to work fairly well.

If I had a month to spare I would feed all the data into a computer program and try and work out the weightings!!!

He's been told to find a new club. He's played quite a bit for Reading this season. Surely he'll get on with a Championship club at the very least.

noel hunt is gone to leeds i think, maybe on loan.

doyle not even in the wolves squad, is he injured again? jay tabb isn't good enough for ireland by a long way.

the fact that kelly can't even get in the reading team highlights what a poor player he is.

going to be released at the end of the season: http://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-news/29592/
“Cameron Stewart’s been up at Doncaster and he’ll be moving on in the summer, other than that Tabby will be freed,” McCarthy confirmed.
“He’s been fabulous, he’s one who without playing a game all season could have won the ‘most selfless player award’ because he comes and trains every day, when he’s played in the cup games he’s played well, he trains well, he’s a prime example to any young player. He really is a fantastic character and hopefully I’ll see him tomorrow.”
All goals, yellow and red cards tweeted in real time on mastodon, BlueSky and facebook
