Well done Limerick on escaping the graveyard while there is still time. Hopefully you win over more support from the city now that you're on the up.
A whole-hearted congrats to Limerick. The ultimate sleeper club, I can see you "doing a Sligo". Delighted for the hardcore fans especially those on here - its been a long time coming, well done.
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.

Well done Limerick delighted for the lads who stuck in there when everyone else gave up.
We are the Galway Boys Stand up and make some noise"
Well done Limerick too although I'm obviously disappointed that Waterford United couldn't catch you. 18 years in the first division must have been terrible and was far too long for a club in a city of Limerick's size.I think a decent Limerick team will add to the premier division. Hopefully we might join you through the play offs.
massive congrats to the limerick lads I know ie Gary Spain, sadloserkid etc... Well deserved.. 18 yrs was too long for a city of your size and i can see ye goin from strength to strength.. look forward to seeing ye in town before the game in foxes!!
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
Good to see Limerick back, and it was a long time coming, did they have the unwanted record of longest time in the FD? 18 years?
Would also liked to have seen other traditional centres of LOI football like Athlone, Donegal etc given a chance to play against the top sides in the country in an expanded single division, maybe it will still happen, as this FD mess next season looks more like a International Qualifying group (size wise) than an actual league with the quantity of sides that are likely to take part.
#DundalkFC - First Irish club to win an away game in Europe (1963), first Irish club to win points in a group stage in Europe (2016).
No, even if it's just 6 they'll press ahead with the FD next season. You just know they will.

Delighted for limerick. Great to see ye back.
I'm delighted to see Limerick up. It gives the league more of a spread from a club that should be sustainable up there. I like the club and they have a lot of good supporters. The only issue is the ground.
How has Joey been this season? I haven't heard anything in a while.
Imo we dont make the best of the likes of Joe and Stephen Bradley the way we played this year but he has still been very good he just does the simple things that go un-noticed sometimes he breaks up play very well and its usually just a simple pass to someone to get an attack going then.... Reckon he will step it up a bit if we play some ball in the Prem.
Good to have another club in the premier league that isnt from the east of the country but all seems very plastic. The reason Limerick spent 18 years in the first division was because no one in Limerick really gives a sh1t about the club. Some millionaire throwing money at them isn't going to change much, I'm sure they will gain a few on their bandwagon for a while. Hope he dosen't get bored and we have another Fingal.
Sean South there, with another cleverly constructed, subtle, wind up.

Been a long time. Four times we finished bottom as well. Great to be back in the top flight.
Congrats to Limerick. While the league will always stay going in some shape or form, having strong sides throughout the country can only boost the league. Cork, Limerick etc. can bring a lot to the table that another team around the Dublin area couldn't.
Well done Limerick! Congrats, it's been a long time coming & great to see you finally escape the dreaded first division.
Well done to Limerick. Esp to the volunteers and long term supporters. Congratulations also to Pat Sullivan for making the commitment. If only there were more Irish business people like him.
