are you sure?that sounds ridiculous.surely the FAI did not sanction that.

Fairkop, press report said that it was "Agreed between the leagues" so probably wasn't cleared at that time by the FAI.

Don't think it really matter since both qualify,it was probably just to see who got home advantage in QF,just a guess.

Referee today screwed Clare . 2-1 up and the ref adds on 6 mins injury time onto the extra time then gives Aul a peno for handball. Clare were pure and simply robbed .

Absolutely scandalous stuff from the referee Duggan. 1st period of extra-time was 10 minutes 40 seconds (fair enough, absolutely no issue there), 2nd period was 16 minutes 55 seconds!!!!! AUL penalty awarded 4 minutes 40 seconds into additional time in extra-time!!

There was 2 substitutions in extra-time. How does he let play continue for 4 and half minutes??? 10 minutes a half extra-time and he manages to ply 6:55 extra. Disgusting. There is absolutely no way on this planet he can justify playing so much additional time. There's only one reason and that's he did it deliberately. He knew what he was at without question.
If this lad ever gets appointed to officiate in any competition outside of the LDMC's domestic comps ever again it's a travesty.

Absolute joke. 6 mins plus in extra time is a farce, it was almost as if he was waiting to give them something. Good luck to dublin but they know they have got out of jail with this 1. Sickening for clare having put so much into the game that we deserved to win

It seems like Clare were well and truly robbed,Did ref give any explanation after the game as to why he added on all this additional time,it's an awful pity that these so called Grade 1 refs can get away with what they like,Have seen it on too many occasions,It must have been very hard for the Clare lads to have bust a gut to get a fantastic result against the favourites for the competition and to be denied like that,

There is the crux of the problem, they don't have to give an explanation. Bewildering how he came up with the additional time. Ironically I had being saying at the end of normal time how the refs in Clare could learn a lot from this ref and the previous ref that did the Cork game and how they got on with the game and were not making it about themselves.
    I'll update this next year.

Word in Mayo is that Wexford insisted on the match being played on Saturday afternoon. Mayo wanted to play Sat night or Sunday. Thought all of these matches are played Sunday given many have work commitments on Saturdays?

I heard to night that the Limerick Oscar Traynor Manager and his Assistance's are resigning to-morrow night, it seems they are having some difficulty with the fixture Secretary.

Yeah heard it today the fixtures secretary fixed the wexford game for the 21st of April a week before the FAI semi finals and also has a full premier fixture list a couple of days before the wexford game as well. The management said they could not ask the Pike and Carew players to play for the oscar traynor team a week before the FAI semi finals and were led to believe by the fixtures secretary that there would be a 2 to 3 week break between the 2 matches.
Heard also that the Youths manager and a member of ldmc were taking over the team.
