On the cards for a long time ......

Strange timing, they're still in the Cup and chasing Europe. Should have waited until the end of the season at least, or else sacked him earlier in the season when they still had a chance of landing the title

Limerick?
The SFAI are the governing body for grassroots football in Ireland, not the FAI. Its success or the lack of is all down to them.
Job swap with Scully, please.
From the Irish Times report:
Astonishing that any experienced manager could have done so badly with the squad and resources he had at his disposal. Declan Devine will be looking over his shoulder about now....

Scully going no where for the moment. IF we are promoted I would like to see a change for next season though. Early rather after a few months next year. Stephen Kenny would be a decent appointment for us but personally I would like to see Pete Mahon, he usually does a good job with young players, which we have shed loads coming through.
I think rovers should have made this call a lot earlier though.
Rico one of the favourites straight away?
Any ideas on how much this will cost Rovers?
#NeverStopNotGivingUp
Will Bohs be offering Agent Kenny a lifetime membership for his antics in Tallaght? Didn't expect him to be there next season but surely it would be more financially prudent to wait until the seasons over before getting rid?
For once maybe someone will call me "sir" without adding "you're making a scene."
It`ll cost them more than money. He had put together a nine match unbeaten run before last night (I think), I thought they were cup favourites until I saw what a rabble they were last night. Gettting rid of him may spur them on or it might just degenerate into civil war among the pro and anti- Kenny players.
The term "hero" is bandied about far too often. On this occcasion it doesn`t sufficiently serve to describe the selfless bravery of a lone operative behind enemy lines, aided only by three quarters of his squad acting as special agents.
My thoughts are with the countless other devastated Bohs fans at this sad time
Very unfair to sack him as he was doing such a great job! Oh well, well done Stephen and thanks for everything. Mad that it was a Sligo man who ended it all too.
I cant believe Stephen has gone. A week before the league cup final against drogs.. It reminds me of 2004 when Stephen got the sack from Bohs a week before the league cup final against us and after they were knocked out of europe early. spooky or what?
Gary Cronin is he the right man to manage Longford Town?
Rico must be a front runner. Steady hand and all that.
Rumours a few weeks ago was that he wasnt sacked after the last bad run and the 4-0 against us as they were waiting for Fenlon to get the sack. Dont see it happening now obviously.
Funny how things change but i didnt see this one coming even after last nights defeat. In fact, they should have let him start next season too and i mean that honestly. It can be a period of adjustment for managers that takes time to get used to. Now Rovers are stuck near the end of the season with players who are tied to them and apparently dont really care for the jersey (we could have told you that SRFC). All a bit kneejerk if you ask me.
Hope they get Sadlier in...
I like high energy football. A little bit rock and roll. Many finishes instead of waiting for the perfect one.
They were putting in performances away from home but not at home. Some impressive away wins recently, including being behind, at Derry, Drogheda, UCD and Cork in particular.
At home, a different story. Despite the record since the 4-0, the position was untenable after it.
The Model Club
Tell all the Bohs you know
that we've gone and won two-in-a-row
and it's not gonna be three
and it's not gonna be four
it's more likely to be 5-1.
Sean Connor must be rubbing his hands right now
Nobody knows us, we don't care
